Calves, currently a work in progress.
It’s nothing groundbreaking, I suppose, but I’m actually feeling pretty decent about the progress so far, especially considering my genetics are basically a disaster—my calves have always just looked like two flat planks of wood.
If all goes according to plan, I might see some actual athletic definition in maybe four or five years, though I’d say by next summer they should be looking reasonably solid for a casual gym enthusiast. 🙂

I guess I’m up about 15-20% across the board right now, especially in my back, so maybe there will be some fresh photos coming soon. To be fair, the back training shown in this particular shot has been pretty consistent for maybe two months, though the photo itself is probably a year old, or maybe just slightly less than that.
Varicose veins and working out: Any advice? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I’m honestly just sitting here waiting for a few more veins to start popping out across my arms.
I suppose my ultimate goal is to eventually have one of those massive, thick vascular lines running right down the center of my forearm. Total beast mode, I guess. 🙂
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Roger Gray8 said:Paul Howard7, maybe try clicking that volume icon down in the system tray and opening up the mixer, just to see if everything is cranked up there.

Everything is already set to max. I mean, if it wasn't all the way up, I probably wouldn't be hearing anything at all on YouTube.

So, I went ahead and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit yesterday, and I’ve run into two little hiccups—one with my mic and another with my speakers. It’s a bit of a weird one, honestly. Regarding the microphone, the system seems to think everything is fine; if I go into the settings under sound > recording > microphone and run a test, the volume meter bounces up and down perfectly when I talk, which suggests the connection is solid and it's definitely picking up my voice. But here's the kicker: whenever I actually try to record something, say in Audacity or just the standard Windows sound recorder, I can't hear a single thing I've recorded. When I hit playback, it's total silence. It's almost like the mic isn't working at all, even though the visual level indicator in both Audacity and the recorder moves around beautifully, showing that it *is* registering sound... I guess that means the hardware is technically doing its job, if that makes sense? Anyway, the second issue is with the speakers. If I'm watching stuff on YouTube, everything works just fine and the audio is crystal clear, but the moment I try to play any local files—you know, music I've actually downloaded to the PC rather than streaming it—there's absolutely nothing. It's the same deal as the mic; everything seems connected and functional since YouTube works, yet local playback is dead silent. I have a feeling the fix might be something pretty simple, but I'm just not sure how to tackle it. I was hoping maybe someone who knows their way around a system a bit better could point me toward a concrete solution. Thanks, and cheers.
