Truly magnificent. It gives one hope that things aren't entirely bleak after all—it actually gave me chills 😍
I’ve been asking myself that very same question lately—and honestly, there is a certain beauty, at least in the short term, to creating that little bubble of positivity and forgiveness.
However... (though we all knew that 😉 was coming), sweeping things under the rug isn't the same thing as actually building self-confidence. In fact, I suspect that bubble is destined to burst eventually—you simply cannot outrun your own feelings forever.
The reality is that true self-work is grueling—perhaps the hardest task of all—which is why so many of us gravitate toward the easier way out.
Based on what you’ve shared, it seems we’re wrestling with much the same issue, though I don't believe there's a simple mathematical formula to solve it. It’s about finding that delicate equilibrium between our internal needs and external pressures—balancing what we ought to want with what we are actually capable of receiving in the moment. That is where true contentment resides. 😉
