Fainting during period? in Women's Health ·
Honestly, this happens to me all the time right when my period is starting or even a few days before. My blood pressure just tanks out of nowhere, and I swear everything goes pitch black in front of my eyes. Thank God (well, thank my luck, I guess!) that I’ve got kids now, so I can usually scramble to find a chair or at least lean against something before I go down. My doctor basically told me there isn't much she can do about it other than telling me to eat way more salty snacks on those specific days. It was the exact same thing for my mom back before she had her first kid—we basically have the same issues with our cycles and stuff like that.
Chronic Vaginal Dryness in Women's Health ·
Can dryness actually be caused by an infection from b.vaginalis? And once I finish the treatment, will things go back to being normal? 😢
In this specific case, you can see how much biology really calls the shots. At least, that's how it looks to me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Reimer
Panic attack in Health ·
Sandra Green38 said:Meds aren't a magic fix, they just take the edge off. You're better off doing psychotherapy. 🙂

Have you actually tried them yet? Look, I’m not exactly a huge cheerleader for medication, but I can tell you what happened with me. Once I started taking antidepressants, my panic attacks just... vanished. And I wasn't doing any psychotherapy while I was on them (I mean, checking in with a therapist for ten minutes once a month isn't really "therapy," right?). The pills didn't magically solve all my life problems, but they absolutely killed the panic attacks. I don't think we should be so black-and-white about this stuff.
