Angela Reed5 said:I’ve been following this thread, and if I can offer one bit of advice based on my own experience: you haven't heard anything yet until the baby actually arrives. From those early trips to the pediatrician—the kind we never had to deal with ourselves, so people think our kids shouldn't have to either—to breastfeeding, starting solids, and the endless cycle of discipline and chaos... honestly, all of that was far more exhausting than any unsolicited pregnancy advice.

Man, I totally agree with her.
Like when my mother-in-law puts her hand on my stomach just two weeks postpartum and tells me the weight isn't coming off anytime soon. Touching a pregnant belly is one thing, but this is next level. Then there's the constant questioning about whether we have enough food or if the laundry is done, even though she wouldn't lift a finger to help. And then she asks a thousand times, in this shaky, overly anxious voice, if we'll be able to see the baby clearly, like she's worried she won't be able to spot it and might just leave it in a dumpster. 🙂 🙂
There's plenty more where that came from, but that's for RID.😁
What’s the most annoying part of this pregnancy for me?
Probably the fact that I'm still pregnant and the little one clearly has zero intention of making an appearance anytime soon.
Plus, every single morning by 8:00 AM, I wake up to a mountain of missed calls and texts. It's always the same thing: "Is it time yet?" or "Any news?"
😱😱😱
Sean Long4 said:Lately, my mother-in-law has been getting on my nerves big time... Look, I’m incredibly grateful she stepped up to help us deep-clean the house after we repainted, but that doesn't give her a free pass to call me every single day or constantly drop hints about how much she wants to come over.

Basically, she’s obsessed with seeing what the crib looks like. Well, you’ll see it once the baby arrives... even my own parents didn't get a preview.

She also went ahead and told me that once I actually give birth, she plans to swing by every single day right after work just to grab the baby and take them for walks. Yeah, right—over my dead body. This isn't a doll; the baby is going for walks when *I* decide it's time to go out, not when someone else dictates the schedule.

And one more thing: she already booked a week off right before my due date and another two weeks right after. I already told my husband that there is absolutely no way she's coming around, because I need my space to just breathe at home without being hovered over every day.

😲😲😲
Good grief, is your mother-in-law mine too?

She actually just called me to brag about how her coworkers asked when she was taking her summer vacation, and she made a big deal out of saying it depends on when the little one decides to arrive (my due date is in August). Even though I kept telling her it isn't necessary since my husband will be with me until we get settled, she just insists he should go to work while she stays with me and the baby... Aaaaaa 😱😱
Ugh, my mom was really getting on my nerves yesterday, making comments about how much weight I've put on and wondering what I'll look like by the end of this pregnancy. Like, coming from the woman who gained 30 pounds herself? I have a mirror at home, thanks, I can see myself. But honestly, what am I supposed to do—just snap into a diet and sign up for CrossFit overnight?
Seriously, just leave me alone!!!! 😠

And then there's my mother-in-law, who's been grilling me every single day for two weeks now. Sometimes twice a day, asking if I've felt the baby move yet. Every time, I tell her no, and I ask her to stop because she’s actually making me paranoid—I am genuinely worried, okay? I told her I'll let her know the second I feel something, but it's like talking to a brick wall. It goes in one ear and out the other.
I told my husband that I don't want to see or hear from either of them for the rest of the pregnancy!!!
Sorry, I just needed to vent. I feel a tiny bit better now, though—just a little. I have an ultrasound scheduled in two days. 🙂
Linda Ward312 said:I’m seriously losing my mind here, just finished week 28 and I feel like I could sleep for a century 😠 Honestly, I’ve just been crashing all day, only actually getting up if I need to grab a snack or hit the restroom 😳
Is anyone else feeling this way, or am I just totally out of whack?

It's been like that for me the last few days. I just sleep, and even when I finally wake up, I can barely keep my eyes open before drifting off again ten minutes later. It's a bit worrying, at least while I am actually awake. Plus, I haven't really felt the baby moving yet, so I'm pretty anxious. 😕
My stomach is definitely showing through my clothes lately. Yesterday at the DMV, a woman behind the counter actually called me over to skip the line. Honestly, I wasn't complaining. I'm pretty lazy and I usually can't stand trekking through those government buildings just to wait in line forever. So far, I've only had to update my ID since my last name changed, but now, thanks to this belly, I'm ready to tackle all my other paperwork without having to stand around with the rest of the mortals.🥳
😁
Bryan Diaz said:Well, I think my father-in-law might have gotten a little too brave after a few drinks—he actually looked at me and said, Hey there, gorgeous! Honestly, all I wanted to do was fire back with a quick, Hey there, drunkard! But, I suppose I decided to hold my tongue instead. 😁

😂😂

That whole "hey, little mama" greeting really gets under my skin.
And the absolute worst part is when people stare right at my stomach and then ask if there's a baby in there. Like, what? It’s obviously a baby. It's not like I'm just carrying around a heavy lunch.
There's more to it, I guess, but that's definitely the peak annoyance.
It's also weird how I always seem to get cut to the front of the line everywhere. People just let me pass without me even asking. I suppose because my bump is so obvious, everyone assumes I'm about to go into labor any second.
