Run-D.M.C., I knew it! my Adidas

😁
If Muse, Placebo, or Alice in Chains aren't on this year's Coachella lineup, I'm completely out.

+1—I've already got my ticket in hand and I'm not backing down regardless—but after waiting this long, we really need a massive headliner. Regardless of what anyone thinks, these guys are easily some of the biggest bands out there right now. Also, 👎 compared to LCD Soundsystem, they should be like !!! in terms of genre, but instead, they just feel incredibly thin and sterile.

not sure how likely it is they'd play in America just four days after their big show over there :uncertain:

Honestly, my annoyance with U2 has officially turned into straight-up hatred.😠
them Crooked Vultures have an opening from the 11th to the 30th—and they’re actually playing a festival in Norway on the 30th. Based on the earlier discussion, that festival is about the same scale as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (just so you know, Muse is on that lineup too). So yeah, they're definitely part of the equation👍
Dana Howard93 said:Honestly, I’d still be pulling for RATM—it’s pretty much expected they'd come through here since there isn't much else going on during that window! It would be absolutely legendary to catch them live.

I wouldn't say no to Them Crooked Vultures either!

Man🙂

What’s the deal with posting stuff on the homepage before it's even officially out?😕 Anyway—hey, Rise Against☕
They’re trying to bait us into those overpriced tickets😠 Well, I’m not playing that game—I'm grabbing mine now, and if they sell out, they sell out!

Since T-Mobile is sponsoring them—and looking back at last year's lineup with Kraftwerk, Lily, Editors, and Moby—it’s totally possible we'll see some similar heavy hitters at Lollapalooza. 🙂

Porcupine Tree🙂 As for the rest... well...
Interpol keeps popping up in this thread, so I’m genuinely curious—why is everyone so certain they’ll actually be around this summer? Sure, there's talk about a new album dropping early this year, but that’s all we really have to go on (and who knows how accurate those rumors even are).

On top of that, the lineup hype here is getting a bit ridiculous. We’ve got !!!, which is great, but what about the other 40 acts?
Hmm, Pixies... they might actually be good candidates. The xx could work too.
Kenneth Williams60 said:Same here... but let's set some ground rules first—I'm bringing a knife (just in case they try to comfort us with some old headliner), an axe (if the festival name ends up being someone in the league of The Killers), and a bazooka (if they don't give us a single decent name at all)... what are you packing?

I think I'll just hurl every smartphone I got from my service provider at them like hand-thrown projectiles. Though, maybe they'd just take that as me trying to book a ticket via text message🤷
Oh, they’re coming—just watch, everyone will see they'll be there🙂 Alice in Chains, Mars Volta, them Crooked Vultures, Jeff Buckley, and even Bob Marley🙂🙂
But seriously—I'm giving them three more days to announce a headliner, otherwise, I'm staging a full-on march straight toward the first T-Mobile US Center.
I mean, Soundgarden is the headliner—it's pretty obvious, really.☕
Andrew Ramos38 said:Man, back in 2008, having The Prodigy there really leveled up the whole festival experience—but if things keep going the way they are this year, we might just end up back at the level of that old Otočec Rock Festival. 😁

Well, if I can—why wouldn't I?! Plus, why not throw The Prodigy back into the mix?😁
And honestly, they could probably just start confirming the lineup already.
Man, my heart might actually break if The Black Keys don't play😢 Plus, I'll be thrilled again if we get Interpol and/or Radiohead🙂

Elliott Smith?😬
Nancy Barnes77 said:...and honestly, I'd take Eric Clapton, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Pearl Jam, or Jack White in any capacity...

+1—though QOTSA is basically out of the question right now, I'd jump at Them Crooked Vultures. Hmm, Jack White and The Dead Weather are touring, so maybe... It looks like Pearl Jam already has their US summer dates packed, but Muse could definitely work.

As long as Radiohead finally finishes their run, everyone wins. Same goes for Bon Iver, Alice in Chains, The Mars Volta, and PJ Harvey (not sure where she came from, though).

driftingeagle27 said:...And it’s almost like Man wants to be Jack White?

🤷

Whoa, now that’s a heavy accusation. Honestly, those early YouTube clips had me thinking they were leaning into a garage rock vibe—but clearly, I was off base there. I wouldn't call myself a huge Jack White fan or anything, but I've listened to enough to know I just can't see it your way.👎

rapidviper78 said:Hmm, I was actually hoping for something a bit punchier—not that this isn't bad, don't get me wrong 😉 but the US press is calling this their most commercial track yet, so we'll just have to wait and see how the full album turns out 🤣 personally, I'm not sure what you guys think of the single, but to me, it feels a lot like The Golden Age

Calling this "commercial" is a stretch—when was the last time anything like this actually hit the top of the charts? I was really crossing my fingers for a different vibe for the lead single (maybe something like Lost Souls, Dirty Blues, or The Mammoths) but oh well👍 Unknown once the album finally drops...
