They all talk a big game—but what happens when they actually have to step up?🤷
Alice in Chains is coming—happy tears are flowing over here. Pens, headphones, and pillows are flying all over my apartment🙂
slypanther5 said:It’s pretty easy—just a quick surf online and you'll find those names for day zero
So, which ones are we talking about...?
Nancy Barnes77 said:Well, clearly I'm just not trustworthy enough...
By the way, you can find that info in today's paper...
Plus, there's some kind of giveaway over on the Verizon pages—they're giving away 100 pairs of tickets.
To be totally honest, though, that festival isn't worth the price they're asking for a single entry...
And once you factor in the extra charge for camping? That is just waaaaay too much money.🙄
Look, I don't read the morning papers, and since an extra ticket would have been perfect for me, I'm feeling a bit skeptical. And yeah—it's definitely not worth the cash, but what can you do?
Nancy Barnes77 said:If anyone is dying to get to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, there’s supposed to be some kind of promo running on USA Today this Wednesday, May 19th.
Usually, it’s some sort of BOGO deal—buy one ticket, get one free...
Quantities are limited, though. 😉
Hmm, can anyone confirm if that's actually happening?
The lineup isn't quite set yet—we still need Tricky to show up😂

Man, it felt more like childhood paralysis☕ But Massive Attack is always my go-to😍
Justin Myers22 said:I’m really hoping Faith no more might jump on the lineup—considering Lollapalooza is coming up... it would be 👍
Man, I just hope the organizers have enough in the budget to pull in another headliner of that caliber.
Honestly, I’d be happy with whatever lineup they drop—I just need something to listen to. And if they actually announced the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Man, that would be the absolute highlight of the year.🤷
I play Ian Curtis, quite often.
Chris Chase5 said:Give me at least two songs from five other bands—how often are you spinning them, and what’s your take on their musical value?
😂 So, what about the musical value? Does that mean I can get back to you on that later?
Comparing Toni's recent three albums—which, let's be honest, are all pretty much hitting the same note—to a band that’s actually evolving and finding its groove? If you had even a basic grasp of music theory, you'd see how ridiculous that is. One is stagnant; the other has genuine emotion and a signature sound. It's just a nonsensical comparison.
Sure, they should keep evolving—but let’s be real, you can't deny that Placebo is a total downer band. They’re fading out, and Toni is too—just in a different way, obviously. Anyway, have you actually sat down and listened to Toni's last three albums?😬
Chris Chase5 said:Given how things work in America, they actually let someone like Tonio Cetinski play—you know, the guy who sounds like he's dying a hundred times in every single song.
And what about Molko? Doesn't he die a hundred times a day too?☕
Look, I get it—Massive Attack and Billy Idol could totally headline for me—but where are the other 30 or so bands?

A bit of Nina Inch Nails, a touch of Depeche Mode—just feels kind of... synthetic, I guess🤷 Though, honestly, it might hit differently live.
Don't tell me we're stuck with just MA, idol, Lipsi, and LCD as the main headliners at the end?!😠
Based on what I'm seeing on last.fm, it looks like Air is in the running. I noticed someone already brought them up earlier in the thread—so it’s definitely a possibility.
Mark Cox15 said:I know they already played, but there's just no way to afford every single show—it would’ve been awesome if they’d swung by the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival instead.
I think they were just pointing out that the prices weren't crazy, not necessarily saying we missed out by not seeing them since they were so close.😉 Enivais, PT🙏, would have definitely been the perfect way to cap off my very first festival experience.
Andrew Ramos38 said:Honestly, just get over yourselves and your endless demands. If you've got the cash, go hit up Lollapalooza or wherever else. This is a mid-week festival meant for people living in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding areas—not some massive destination event tucked away in the middle of nowhere designed to pull crowds from all over the world for a huge weekend. We aren't Austria or Italy, after all—we can't just summon any headliner we want... clearly, some people forget where we actually live.
You're spot on—given the current situation, this lineup is perfectly fine. Even with Temoubajl sponsoring, it holds up. I grabbed my ticket before everything was officially announced, and honestly? I'm totally cool with the lineup! I hadn't really listened to them before, but they're actually pretty good. It’s actually reignited my interest in Molly and now Idol—plus, it gives me a chance to make up for missing MA last year. Maybe if you guys were a little more flexible, you wouldn't be so stressed.🙂
Billy Idol, huh? Definitely wasn't on my radar😁
Henry Mitchell29 said:Basically, it's a win for anyone who missed out on Lollapalooza a few months back—they can actually fix that mistake this year (myself included) 😍
Same here.😍 Yeah, it might be a bit of a bummer for people who aren't fans, but hey, what can you do? Now we've got acts like The Strokes, TCV, Rage Against the Machine, Muse...
