Dorian Gray, I need one more thing... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
@Dorian.Gray
You claim the mods of the subreddits I used to write for don't want me back. Personally—and I’m probably not the only one here—I think the bare minimum they could do is actually explain why.
Ignoring an appeal is clearly just how this "administration" lets you know they don't want you on the forum. This is apparently their standard way of communicating with users; though, I haven't seen anyone else get ignored quite like me. It's been half a month and not a single mod has bothered to write a single sentence.

In the end, Tyson from the football section chimed in, and I've already mentioned his lack of "objectivity" regarding my forum history. Beyond that, I still maintain the guy doesn't understand basic football concepts, evidenced by posts like
Tyson said:I'm not so sure. Despite the common belief that a playmaker is just some guy standing in the center distributing balls every few steps, these players actually cover massive mileage to create space for themselves and others. On the other hand, Messi—even now, physically in his prime—runs below average, so the question is whether he could adapt to such a role. Modern football is moving away from one-dimensional players; in five years, no team will be able to afford a midfielder who doesn't run and defend.

Look, my dear Tyson, a playmaker or an attacking midfielder doesn't just stand "in the center"; they "float" between the midfield and the attack. That is their operating zone. That is the type of play Messi would perform. There are others, like Xavi, who operate more deeply.
The core qualities of a playmaker playing behind the forwards are vision, creation (the final pass), shooting, technique, and spatial awareness. In those roles, the amount of running—especially intensity—isn't the key factor. Their primary job is breaking the defensive line, and their secondary job is building play alongside the midfield.
Wingers and central midfielders are the ones where running distance is the most significant factor; surely you know that.

But whatever, I won't go on. This isn't a professional journal, and apparently, the moderator here is a football enthusiast who thinks the bolded text above defines a playmaker.

@Dorian, before you lock this thread, please tell me: is this how the mods/admins usually communicate? Like, when a banned user opens a thread and gets ignored for 20 days without any explanation as to why they aren't welcome back in the sub (and obviously, if they had actual arguments, they would have spoken up; the truth is I was perfectly civil in those subs and gave them no reason to act, so there's no "material" to use against me😉)? So, a user can get banned, but they can't get a valid explanation for why they can't post on the forum again?😁
No one from the sports or hobby sections spoke up except Tyson. As far as he's concerned, I find him pretty biased in my case because we've had our fair share of debates on the NFL boards before, and I feel like he has a bit of a vendetta against me. Actually, it bothers me that he's the only one who stepped in. If it were up to me, he'd be the last person I'd want deciding on my ban.

That's all I want to know. Before you close this, please tell me: am I the first case where someone appeals a ban and gets ignored for 20 days with zero response, or is this just the standard protocol for mod-user communication? Before I leave this site for good, I'd appreciate an answer.

placidviper said:Look, 🤣 you’re sharp enough to be dangerous.
Since you clearly missed the point, let me lay it out: I couldn't care less if you get banned or not. I saw "...Grandpa's banjo..." on the front page and it just reminded me of how much of a headache you are. So, here I am, late to the party, dropping my 2 cents just to poke fun at you and your overly dramatic plea for forgiveness :violine: . Since you're apparently under the impression that someone actually thinks being tasteless is a reason for a partial ban, we're done here. 😵 🤦

Please. There's nothing "dramatic" about it. 🤣 I tried being honest and decent with people, but apparently, that doesn't work. They tell you, "you have to prove you've changed," so you act as fair and correct as possible and admit the fault was yours, and what do you get? Nothing. 🤣 Still, I'm glad the rest of the users will see that no matter how hard you try, they won't lift the ban. There's some satisfaction in that. 😉 Honestly, I haven't understood the purpose of this appeals subforum for ages. This Forum is private property, yet there's this attempt to pretend it's some kind of democracy by opening a section where you can appeal a temporary or permanent ban—even though everyone knows it's a total waste of time. It's ridiculous.

And the moment you lump me in with Simpson, I know exactly what kind of "tastelessness" you're implying. What she does is masterful, though; she couldn't care less if people like her or not, just trashing and praising whoever she wants. Her posting style is top-tier. 😁

If you get a kick out of showing up in threads for people who are complaining just to mess with them, then well... you know the joke about the fool and his joy. 😁

P. S. Next time, just tell me you're screwing with me so I can actually have a laugh too. 🤣

placidviper said:Of course you don't remember me. I’ve barely posted twice on this board with this account 😵

Having zero taste isn't grounds for a ban, but it's certainly enough for a partial loss of respect 🥳 anyhow, I doubt anyone will take that as a serious argument. I just wanted to remind the mods that the forum doesn't need more users who lack basic aesthetic sense 😁 I couldn't care less about your ban

And this whole "dramaqueen" routine regarding being honest about permanent bans is just ridiculous. Some permanently banned woodcutter is going to sit down, write a touching 500-word essay in Word with perfect grammar, and then go right back to their old ways the second their account turns from gray back to color. Don't hold your breath

Like some of the banned users already mentioned on the Forum, a guy can commit murder and get a pardon, yet you can't even get a fair shake on an online Forum after a ban. Ridiculous. 😬

At least on a Forum—and there are millions of them online—you can actually give someone a second chance. It’s not a big deal if they start acting up again once the ban is lifted. One click and they're gone.

Look, honestly, after everything that’s gone down, I don't even care anymore. I see the ban isn't getting lifted, but if you're going to post here, at least try to make an actual argument. As for how qualified you are to judge someone else's taste—I won't even dignify that discussion—saying "bad taste is a reason for partiality" tells me everything I need to know about your potential as a moderator. 😁

And please, spare me any more comments about me or my photo album history. It's not because you've been registered with that same handle for eight years only to post twice; it's because arguments like "Simpsons clips and Grandpa's folk music are too tacky for a photo album" are just straight-up childish.

Honestly, I didn't expect anything different from you. 😁 You seem pretty stubborn when it comes to your stances on other complaints too, but you're young—you mentioned that yourself. Besides, I don't see why you'd even bother judging or mentioning my involvement in those PDFs when you aren't a moderator. 🤷 With all due respect, I think that's someone else's job.

Regarding Soccer, I wasn't just debating the greatest players of all time; I was also discussing the Spanish league. You know that perfectly well, being a Real Madrid fan yourself. Those threads had some really solid, constructive discussions about tactics, technique, and everything else regarding Spanish soccer. Most of the tension was just healthy rivalry between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona fans. I'd prefer if you weren't the one grading my posts on those topics; you aren't objective, especially since I get the feeling you don't particularly like me because of other debates on this site. That said, I wouldn't exactly call your soccer knowledge top-tier based on what you've written either, but that's a conversation for another time.

I'd actually like to hear what people like Engineer, Ono, torrentz, and Correspondence think, or even the "Real Madrid fans" like Pilatus, Keith Miller30, and Zinedine Zidane... specifically, I'd love to hear what Engineer thinks about my contribution to the Soccer section, since he and I had the most high-quality, intense debates. The guy is an authority there, and I'd value his take . A quick shout-out to Engineer if he's reading this. If we don't cross paths here again, I'd love for him to tell me which forum he hangs out on so we can talk soccer there. Actually, I'll just shoot him a DM, since I doubt he visits this site much.

That comment about how "high-quality posts could be squeezed out of you" actually made me laugh, if you'll excuse me. You're being pretty patronizing 🤣 as if you have the soccer expertise of the late Ivić. Again, a user's actual posts speak louder than any moderator's assessment, which in your case is pretty subjective. The people I just listed, along with everyone else in those threads, know exactly how constructive and serious I was regarding the Spanish league and the GOAT debates. I can pull up a mountain of my own posts to prove you wrong if I need to. Sure, things got heated occasionally, but what's a debate without a little back-and-forth? As for your claim that I "wasn't particularly problematic," I won't even dignify that with a comment; as far as I know, I have exactly one warning for trolling in the entire Soccer section.

@Nice, this appeal is clearly going nowhere. On this forum, as some others who have complained have realized, you simply aren't allowed to make mistakes. No matter how hard I try to show I've changed, it doesn't matter to the moderators. And I'd rather not comment on the objectivity of mods like Anthony Jackson2.
I know the ban isn't getting lifted, and you can lock this thread as far as I'm concerned. But I can't say I'm not disappointed that everyone can now read that once you get a permanent ban, any effort to fix things is useless. There is no coming back.

Honestly, I find a fair amount of mental satisfaction in the fact that everyone reading this appeal will see that the Forum "management" just doesn't value a conscientious and honest approach from permabanned users—even though I tried my absolute hardest to be exactly that, hoping for some fairness and understanding from their side. I can't say anything more than this. It's a shame.

Sorry, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen you post anything on the Forum instead of just the photo gallery. I don't remember seeing you in any of the threads I've been hanging out in over there.

If Simpsolina and I are really the biggest problem on this board because of our questionable taste, then you all might want to take a long, hard look in the mirror. 🤣 Since when did being tasteless become a bannable offense? 😬

Dear moderators, admins, and fellow Forum members,

I need to get one last thing off my chest, and this will be my final post on this thread. I want to go into detail because I see other appeals where people list every single tiny grievance, specific situation, or user involved. Honestly, everything regarding my appeal has already been said and I’m probably just being annoying, but I’ll provide a "deep dive" into 🤣 everything that led up to this. This is my honest take on the issues that ultimately got me banned.

pdf N/A
My involvement in that thread mostly revolved around a few topics—specifically focusing on female faces, bodies, and legs (basically, aesthetics). For a while, I kept things civil until the constant bickering started with Barbie. I can't even remember how it kicked off; it doesn't really matter now. It was mostly standard daily banter until I insulted her once. I apologized immediately, but she didn't accept it. Or at least, that’s how it felt, since she claimed I was only being polite rather than sincere, which wasn't true.
Aside from her, there were a few other women on the board who clearly didn't like me and made sure to say so (Naivetes, Miseducata, Hannah, and I think there were others, too). They didn't like me because I acted a bit too "feminine" in my commentary—I’d analyze women's photos in detail, looking at nose shapes, eye symmetry, or even whether a boat could pass between their legs. 😁 I did do that, but it shouldn't have been an issue. Besides, having those kinds of discussions isn't some exclusive club for women; it feels like men are told they should only comment on "boobs and butts," but when we actually engage with the details, everyone loses it. You can't win 😁 no matter how you play it. If someone annoys you, there's an "ignore" button. Nobody is forcing you to read someone else's posts if you don't want to. I have no idea why they didn't just use it. Most of my interactions with them were just minor skirmishes; nothing direct, except for the heavy back-and-forth with Barbie.

@Barbie, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry for insulting your looks back then. Also, I’ll admit I intentionally called the slim, fit women you posted "skinny and nothing special" specifically because I knew that was your "type" and that you had a similar build. I wanted to provoke you. Personally, I love seeing slim women; I find that physique graceful and attractive. Most of the photos you shared were actually great, but I was being provocative on purpose. What bothered me about you, and those threads in general, was the impression that only one specific body type was considered desirable or beautiful. I wasn't the only one who felt this way; other users mentioned that the same types of models were posted far too often. At the end of the day, the behavior in that thread was childish, filled with endless petty arguments, and we all contributed to that environment.
Secondly, it wouldn't be right for me to bring up the complaint that another user, Countrywoman, filed against you. That has nothing to do with my situation, and I ask that it be disregarded when reviewing my ban.

pdf Fashion
There are a few threads there where users post photos of themselves and others critique their style. After I posted a few shots, some women said they looked fine, while others suggested changes. I got stubborn, defending my style and arguing with those who criticized me. It escalated into a massive debate involving several people 😬 and I took it all way too personally. I convinced myself the moderators were playing favorites with those women, which eventually led me to create a clone account just to troll myself.🤣 How could I lean into the idea that those ladies on the Forum "hate" me, while simultaneously using my alt account to soften the blow so it doesn't look totally bleak 😂... basically, I acted like a child because I thought the moderator should have stepped in and told them to back off; I felt ganged up on by several people in that thread. The truth is, I was being stubborn and refused to take any criticism, they kept pushing once they saw I wouldn't budge, and looking back, the whole thing was just a comedy 😬

pdf N/A
I showed up already frustrated, and there was no turning back. Once I started communicating at such a low level, I couldn't stop myself. My apologies to anyone I insulted during that time, which ultimately led to my ban

So, that’s the gist of it. I won't be posting here anymore, but if anyone from the Forum reaches out to support my ban appeal, thanks in advance. If they argue against it, thanks for that too. I just hope this appeal gets resolved and the ban is lifted; I know I messed up, and I can't change what happened. It is what it is 🙂

Quick question if I can ask—is there actually a deadline for deciding whether someone gets back on the forum, or can these appeals drag on forever like they do in our American court system? 😬

Regarding the appeal itself, I’ve said my piece and admitted where I messed up. My head is clear now, and I’m certain everything will be fine once the permanent ban is lifted... I honestly don't know what else I'm supposed to do. It’s pretty disappointing that not a single mod or admin has weighed in on this appeal yet. I don't get the attitude, seriously 🤷 I'm not sure if it's standard practice for appeals to take this long, so if that's the case, my bad

Here's a suggestion: if you think I'm such a problem, maybe just lift the permanent ban but keep the partial restriction on the main section (though even that wouldn't be totally fair since I only caused issues in two specific PDF threads, while the rest of the section has topics I'd actually care about and would behave perfectly in). After that, if I prove myself to be a respectful user over time—which isn't even an issue on my end—then maybe we could talk about lifting that partial restriction too.

🤣 😁 Look, I'm not exaggerating 😂. I’ve asked to have my permissions revoked twice within a single year—you know, how you can basically request a reset every six months or so
.
What can I say? Thanks. I'll admit it: I caused some drama on the main Forum and got dragged into pointless arguments, trolling just to be a nuisance, and other childish stuff... it happened. It could have been avoided, but it happened, so what now? Later, feeling like I was being treated unfairly after getting banned from the primary Forum, things got heated and the permissions were stripped. But if you think I'm a troublemaker, you're dead wrong. A person's posts speak for themselves, and my history in those specific threads shows exactly who I am
.

Thanks again for the support 🙂
.
P. S. 🙂 And yeah, I'm blue here, but I'm gray over there

Look, Nice, just lift this permanent ban. You and I both know I'm not a troublemaker; if you look at the threads where I've posted most, across all three "main" threads, I have zero infractions. Every penalty I ever took was earned back at the local high school game; sure, I messed up and jumped into arguments, and maybe I should have thought twice, but what's done is done.

Things finally boiled over during the championship game, and once I started, I couldn't stop the insults, which landed me this permanent ban. But let's be clear: I am NOT a problematic user, so please just lift the ban. Enough time has passed (two six-month stretches) for me to learn from my mistakes.

Don't think I'm begging for mercy. There are plenty of other forums out there—some much better than this one—but I found my niche here. I actually enjoy the debates, and I hope you'll do the right thing, especially since I try to stay as respectful as possible.

Now, as for why the mods who were deep in the trenches with me—discussing the MLS, the greatest soccer players of all time, photo commentary in the lounge, or those various threads on the tech boards... why won't they acknowledge my constructive input? (I even linked some of my own posts to prove my general approach). I honestly don't know. They can ignore me for all I care. A user might be unlikable to a moderator, but if they contribute, participate, and take things seriously, they deserve a second chance.

If you aren't going to lift the ban, just lock the thread. What's the point in waiting? At least now everyone else can see the character of certain mods who participated in the same threads I did but refuse to speak up now. This thread has been sitting here for ten days without a single comment from a mod. If someone wanted to say, "He doesn't fit in, he fights too much, he ruins discussions," etc., I'd respect that honesty. But they can't label me that way because they saw how I behaved in their own threads.

Screw this. It looks like the ban isn't going anywhere. So, thanks to everyone I debated with on this site. Maybe I'll see you on another forum in a much healthier atmosphere.

Regards

It's been seven days since this request and still zero response from the Forum "management"... it’s getting ridiculous. 😬 🙂
I can only assume you're making decisions "behind closed doors," or maybe there's actually some hope I'll be allowed to post again. Otherwise, you would have just posted here saying, "you're incapable of communicating, you don't contribute to discussions, you're constantly causing trouble," locked the thread, and called it a day.

Look, I get it. I broke the rules. I definitely acted provocatively on certain sub-sections of the site. Sure, I caused issues elsewhere later on, but that was pure rebellion—I wasn't thinking straight back then. I insulted some users a few times, racked up enough strikes, and now I'm facing a ban.
Am I solely responsible for the drama in those sections? I'm not going there. All I'll say is that the user I clashed with most frequently ended up getting her own dedicated thread because another user complained about her.

Regards. I hope a decision regarding my ban is reached soon. I know I earned it, but I also believe I deserve a second chance based on how I behaved before things went south.
With all due respect to the moderators—and I know the head mods have the final say on bans—a user's posts speak for themselves. I've provided plenty of examples of my communication style in the links above.

Well, I’m at a loss. It’s been two days and zero reaction from the mods or admins. Apparently, they’ve forgotten I even exist on this Forum. 🙂

So, I decided to dig up a few posts from my old threads just to demonstrate how I actually handle discussions.

LJES
On dating dynamics
On sex and its societal impact

On cheating

Soccer
From the thread about the greatest soccer players in history

Fitness
Giving advice to other members regarding fitness or just general debate (I noticed Marković has an incredible physique in his recent photos; he probably picked up a few things from my advice, haha 😛)

I know it’s not standard practice to pull old posts and drop links, but here we are. I’m genuinely curious—since it's been two days without any response from those who need to decide if I should return to the Forum or not—what's the hold-up? Why won't anyone say anything so I know where I stand? These links above are meant to show you the kind of approach I took in the threads I frequented most. You all know how I debated; I was always serious and constructive. If you've forgotten, consider these links a refresher.🙂

Yes, I caused some major issues on the PŽK board which led to me being banned. It happened. Sometimes when you get going, you can't stop; it was purely emotional. I was bitter because I felt I wasn't getting the same treatment as other members. I recognize my mistakes, and it won't happen again. But shouldn't there be room for a second chance here? Even for someone who contributes more than almost anyone else?

Come on, people. If you have a problem with me, or if you think I don't deserve to post here because of certain reasons, just say it. It isn't right to leave a thread sitting for two days with no response, only to have it locked with the excuse, "You filed an appeal, nobody replied, so we're locking the thread." That’s unfair to me and to anyone who follows.

I'm looking for some decency and an actual answer. Thanks in advance.
