Quick question about transferring files
I’m using a Redmi Note 5a Prime. I have a ton of photos on there that I really need to get off the device. I've got two laptops I'm working with—one is running Windows 7 and the other is on Windows 10. When I try with the Windows 7 machine, it runs the installation, but then tells me there's nothing on the phone. On the Windows 10 laptop, it actually shows everything I want to move, but once I give it a command, it claims there are no photos on the phone. Basically, neither laptop is playing nice. I couldn't find a manual anywhere—nothing came in the box, and I can't find anything useful online. What settings do I need to tweak on either the phone or the laptops so they can actually see my photos and let me download them?

I’ve got an old desktop sitting here that just won't cooperate. Every time I try to boot it up, the monitor stays completely black—not even a Microsoft Windows logo pops up. I’m starting to think my graphics card finally kicked the bucket...
I'm working off my laptop right now, so I can't really tinker with the desktop at the moment.
So, here's my question: is there any way to access my desktop using my laptop? I have some important files stuck on there that I really need to grab. My hard drive is split into two sections: a C drive (for the OS and apps) and a D drive (where all my actual stuff is kept).

Just figured I’d jump in here. I can't exactly brag about my commute—it's only about 5-3.7 miles miles each way. I've been driving for the last couple of years while the weather stays decent. We don't have showers at my workplace, though, so I always carry a spare change of clothes in my backpack. Since I work shifts, things get a bit tricky. I tend to sweat quite a bit. I usually just do a quick rinse in the restroom stall, tidy up, and swap my clothes out. Otherwise, it would be absolutely unbearable. It isn't even that bad in the morning, but when I have to clock in at 2:00 PM and it's easily over 80°F outside? That's when it gets interesting. Especially when you're lugging around a backpack like I am...
Oh, right. I don't bother with mudguards. I don't really need them for the summer; if anything does get kicked up, it dries pretty fast. Still, it means I end up having to change my clothes anyway.
