I still remember when I was pregnant for the first time and some guy decided to drop a total gem of a question on me, asking, "So, what are you having?"
I told him, and he just shrugs and goes, "As long as it's a boy! That's the main thing!" To which I replied, "Well, as long as it's healthy, I think we're good."
But no, he doubles down: "I'm telling you, a boy is what matters most!"
I honestly just sat there thinking that all the machismo in the world isn't going to save him from his own sheer lack of class. 🙂 😠 🙂

Honestly, I can't believe it. (Well, maybe I can, but still... 🙄 )
How are people actually capable of being like that? It’s genuinely unsettling.
Anyone who is waiting on a baby is really just praying that this tiny little thing is okay, that they arrive healthy, and that they have a happy life,
so when I hear nonsense like that—if you'll excuse the language—it makes me want to lose it.🙂 🙂

Did you tell them off?😬

As for me, I'm just crossing my fingers that there's a little girl on the way for me too.😍
Bless you, a little princess is coming your way.😍
You’ll usually get one little pack straight from your doctor, another one through Disney, and then you can pick up a third at places like CVS 🙂
I tend to show my bump almost immediately, and honestly, it’s pretty noticeable. I definitely wasn't one of those lucky women whose belly doesn't even start peeking out until the fifth month, let alone staying small and subtle like that.
I’ve been hearing those same kinds of comments floating around lately myself:
So, is the little one almost here? Are we counting down the days now? Just a little bit longer, right?
Not quite yet—I’ve still got about four months to go.
So, what exactly counts as twins?
🙂

So, I ended up getting that silly little starter kit they hand out at the pharmacy for expectant mothers, but since I showed up around my 18th week, it was specifically meant for the third trimester. Honestly, what was the point? Does anyone else feel like those things are just a bit misplaced sometimes?
^I was actually just sitting here thinking about how many times I’ve thought of this group lately—probably at least three hundred times—because yesterday I finally reached my breaking point.
After I complained for the five-hundredth time about how much that constant "belly rubbing" annoys me, everyone decided to start doing it on purpose just to get a rise out of me.
As if it were somehow hilarious;🙄
May God give them all chronic styes.🙂
I’m with you on that—if you don’t have anything worthwhile to contribute, just stay quiet.
I honestly can't wrap my head around why people feel this constant, nagging urge to broadcast every single mindless thought that crosses their mind, especially to a bunch of complete strangers online.
🤷
Man, those guys are absolute geniuses! 😁
Just tell me you're struggling with the gas prices 😬
I honestly find it so draining when I run into women who have been pregnant or are currently expecting and act like they’ve suddenly absorbed the collective wisdom of the entire universe—as if nobody knows anything about pregnancy or babies better than they do.
They love to toss out unsolicited "advice" left and right, even though absolutely no one asked for their input, and then they get all huffy and offended if you dare to disagree with them on even the smallest point.
God forbid you actually have an original thought or decide to handle things a little differently than some self-appointed expert momma.🙂

It also drives me up the wall when women who have already given birth describe their delivery as this horrific, bloody battlefield and the absolute worst thing that ever happened to them—especially when they choose to recount those grim details to someone who is currently pregnant.
Look, I get it, childbirth isn't exactly a stroll through Central Park, and some people definitely go through incredibly grueling experiences, but why on earth would you tell that to a woman who’s about to be on that delivery table herself in just a few days?

Well, since I'm clearly on a roll venting about everything that's getting on my nerves... 😬
..I also have to deal with people during this pregnancy who think they have a free pass to just reach out and poke my stomach.
I’m only 20 weeks along, yet people are out here trying to massage my midsection when the baby is still well below the belly button. And let me be clear: I do not want anyone touching me below my navel.
Get lost.
wiredpuma92 said:hahaha, man, people were telling me those same creepy stories about trying to bring babies back to life too🤣🤣 they're terrifying... and get this, I was on the bus in NYC the other day, totally packed, right? some middle-aged lady stands up, so I take her seat. now I'm sitting next to this girl who looks like she's in high school—you know, that typical rebellious phase with the outfit 😁—and she clearly didn't realize who I was at first. then she looks over, catches a glimpse of my belly, and immediately starts digging through her backpack for a thermos and birth control pills 🤣🤣🤣 I seriously almost died laughing!
as for everything else... honestly, I just want everyone to be healthy for the little bit of time we have left, and that's enough. but I gotta be real, it's been hard dealing with all the changes to my body. I listen to the women around me saying things like, "oh, you won't even care once you see the baby," or "those are just signs of womanhood, you won't notice the stretch marks or the weight..." and it makes me feel like crap, because I notice *everything* and I don't think I'm going to suddenly develop amnesia just because I gave birth. I'm kind of mad at myself and just frustrated with how this whole thing played out (I put on over 40 pounds, and don't even get me started on the stretch marks from my belly to my thighs)... no matter how careful I was, since I started gaining weight so fast early on, the pounds just kept coming. so yeah, it's been pretty demoralizing 🙂🙂 but whatever... as long as the health stuff is okay, we'll find a way to deal with the rest...

I feel the exact same way... before my first child was born, I actually had a decent stomach... but now? Stretch marks, loose skin, an old piercing scar... 😲
GROSS!!! Just... gross!! 🙂
And look, when I look at him, I swear I’d wrap myself in stretch marks just to have him again, but when I catch a glimpse of my own stomach.... 🙂

I'm working in retail, and during a big sale, this pregnant woman tried to cut ahead of the line to the register—and this old lady already waiting in line just started absolutely screaming at the poor woman. She was like, "What do you think you're doing, you little brat? I didn't spend my whole life working in the fields just for you to jump the queue!"
Anyway, I'm heading to Peterson's soon, and the paranoia is starting to set in—not to mention the fact that I haven't even started prepping anything for my little terror!

😲😲😲
Honestly, those bitter old women just get under my skin so much; sometimes I feel like I want to lose my cool with them!
Instead of showing a little compassion—especially since they know exactly how tough things can be—they act completely nasty, probably just because someone didn't go out of their way for them decades ago. What a disgusting kind of spite, really. Just awful.
And let's be honest, an old lady actually stepping up to help you? That happens about once in a blue moon 👎 ,
whereas an older gentleman will practically jump to his feet the second I ask for a hand getting onto a city bus. It’s wild how different people are!
Do you see what I mean? 🤷
I really don't intend on turning into one of those bitter old ladies myself, mostly because seeing how some of them behave is enough to make anyone shudder...
Austin Ramirez3 said:Lately, moms with strollers have been driving me absolutely crazy at the grocery store. 😬
I totally get that you can't just leave a baby out on the sidewalk, but seriously, ladies—you don't need to shove the stroller to one side and then block the entire aisle with your other arm! It makes it impossible to even reach the shelves. 🤷

I honestly don't get what the goal is, but hey, maybe I'll just get a concussion from a rogue stroller today. 😁

Sure, some moms just lose track of space and rudely take up half the store,
but what really gets under my skin is when they give me that sideways glance in the middle of the aisle, as if to say, "What are you doing here with a stroller?"
And what am I supposed to do about it? If I need something, I'm coming into the store, and obviously, I can't exactly leave a tiny infant home alone in a playpen... :/

OT
It really grinds my gears when people start dumping their stories about traumatic or tragic births on me.
I mean, seriously, why on earth would anyone do that? :2up:
Why would pregnant women even go around talking about such heavy stuff??? What's the point??
The next person who tries to tell me something like that is going to get a slap,
and I won't care if it's their own grandmother.
