Gosh, Michael Diaz4, thanks for getting back to me... honestly, I was starting to wonder if I was actually losing my mind here🤦... I’m being so incredibly careful about what I eat, so if I'm having to sit down, it feels more like some sort of awkward semi-reclined side slouch... and right now, I’ve got this persistent itch in my backside...
You really are something else—you always find the time to drop a reply for everyone... when you're stuck in a total panic and have no clue what's going on, it helps more than you know👍
I honestly didn't believe him when he said the recovery would be this fast—though, I have to admit, it’s making things a whole lot easier. But can we talk about something for a second? Is it actually normal that I can still see them down there? I mean, I can literally see the stitches... it’s honestly a little unsettling. It's been 8 days since the surgery now.
Thanks for getting back to me... I’ve been reading through everything you’ve shared about your struggles, and honestly, my heart goes out to you. I was wondering—have you dealt with that constant, nagging urge to use the bathroom? Because for me, it’s been absolutely relentless; I feel like I’m stuck in a loop, needing to go every two or three hours, and the cold sweats just won't let up all day. I’m being strictly religious about following this diet, too. At this rate, I think I’ll be sick of soup for the rest of my natural life.😠... To make matters even worse, my period decided to show up right as I got home from the hospital, which is just adding another layer of complication to this whole recovery process. I feel like I'm washing up every thirty minutes, and I'm mostly just lying here—though I do try to get up for a minute here and there. I have a little one at home, and I just can't bear the thought of not being able to take them for even a tiny stroll; they've never seen their mama struggling quite like this before.🤦
Hey everyone... greetings. So, I’ve already posted here about my endless struggles with hemorrhoids—and believe me, after cycling through every cream, suppository, and "natural" remedy under the sun, nothing worked—so I finally bit the bullet and opted for surgery. I had my procedure yesterday at the Butterfly Medical Center. To give you the rundown: I was dealing with six internal ones, a few external ones, and an anal fissure. What’s actually keeping me up right now is that as soon as I got home yesterday, I was hit with this overwhelming, urgent need to go. Like, intense. I tried to just relax and let nature take its course, but the pain was so excruciatingly sharp that I couldn't even move—I was practically pinned down by the urge. I called my doctor, and he basically told me that if it felt like a legitimate urge rather than just a phantom sensation, I should just go ahead and deal with it. So, I did. A tiny bit of something passed, and then—well, I nearly blacked out from the agony and ended up needing IV medication to stabilize. Now, the staff told me to expect some swelling over the next couple of days, but I am terrified that a hemorrhoid hasn't just popped back out... I'm noticing some swelling now that definitely wasn't there yesterday. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of thing?
I really need some advice here... I know someone else on this thread has surely dealt with this before, but I just haven't had the bandwidth to read through everything—so please bear with me. My issue with hemorrhoids has been hanging around for about ten years now, and usually, I can manage to soothe them within a few days using various methods. But this? This is absolutely brutal. I gave birth two months ago, and while I knew I’d be facing some level of agony again, I had no idea it would be this horrific. I realize surgery might be the only permanent fix, but since I'm breastfeeding, that option is completely off the table right now. So, I'm wondering if there is any kind of temporary relief out there? They've never bled like this before, and honestly, every single trip to the bathroom feels worse than labor itself. This time, it's both internal and external, and they are constantly inflamed—neither creams nor sitz baths seem to touch the pain. I actually wanted to pick up some Pilex, but they told me I shouldn't use it while nursing...

I spent the first three weeks in bed, then three weeks by the beach enjoying myself... and now here we go again—stuck in bed, limbs tingling, going crazy... while simultaneously counting down the days.
Yeah, I noticed that too. If anyone ever stood up for me on the subway or let me go first in line, it was a guy, or maybe even some high school kid (shocking, I know). Girls that age can be brutal...
I was honestly floored by something that happened at work recently. I'm working in retail, and during a big sale, this pregnant woman tried to cut ahead of the line to the register—and this old lady already waiting in line just started absolutely screaming at the poor woman. She was like, "What do you think you're doing, you little brat? I didn't spend my whole life working in the fields just for you to jump the queue!"
Anyway, I'm heading to Peterson's soon, and the paranoia is starting to set in—not to mention the fact that I haven't even started prepping anything for my little terror!

Between the complications, being on strict bed rest because of constant contractions, and these brutal leg cramps... it's a mess. On top of that, my tablet alarm goes off every three hours. And then there's everyone with those "just enjoy it now, you won't sleep later" comments. Like, seriously? I’m not sleeping now, and they have no idea about the anxiety I'm actually dealing with.
It drives me crazy when I try to vent and all I get is, "Oh, just be glad you aren't in the hospital." Yeah, no kidding. Of course I'm glad I'm not in a hospital bed—it’s way easier to recover at home for a few months. But sometimes, when I'm having a brutal day, that doesn't exactly make things better. Still, whatever. It's all for the baby.
I am in the exact same boat. My due date is November 17th, and I've been stuck in bed for nearly two months because of preterm dilation. I'd do anything for my kid, but man, there are days when I am just completely over it—the bed rest, the full-body cramps, the literal fear of even going to the bathroom, the isolation of being alone all day... And whenever you do dare to complain, it's always the same old story: "Be glad you aren't in the hospital," or "Think about how many women have worse complications..." blah, blah, blah. Oh, and regarding people cutting in line? I think that died out ages ago; I was actually shocked to realize that men are way more polite about it than women are!
