The monitor shows some contractions, but nothing's actually progressing yet. 🤷 Honestly, I’m still tighter than a Rose castle. If things don't start moving on their own by a week after my due date—so, by Saturday—they're going to suggest an induction. I'm really hoping to avoid what happened to my friend; she went a full week past her due date before they induced her, then spent 20 agonizing hours in labor, only for the Baby to be too big and get stuck, which ended in a nightmare C-section for both of them.
Grace Anderson3, it isn't going to go down like that for you; the Baby will decide when it's time, and it's only Monday. Besides, those due dates are always just educated guesses anyway; doctors can't pinpoint the exact day with any certainty.
Most women I know ended up going about a week past their estimated date. I knew one outlier who actually went a month early.
It's all going to be fine.
