Anyone using a generic USB card reader?

So, I have this Nedis card reader that I set up perfectly fine on my old computer, but now that I've upgraded to a new machine, I'm running into a few hiccups:
1. I don't have the installation CD—it seems to have gone missing somewhere
2. My new PC doesn't even have a CD drive anymore
Is there any way to get this reader installed without needing the actual disc? Maybe there's a workaround?

I’m honestly not sure which sub this belongs in, so I’ll let the moderators decide where to move it. Anyway, here’s the deal:
A friend of mine mentioned something that sounds completely absurd to me. He claims he can strike a deal with a major local brewery (under Anheuser-Busch InBev) to have them install a draft beer system—and that he’d actually end up paying 30 $0.00...
To me, that just doesn't make any sense. I mean, I guess I'm wondering why anyone would even do that? Why would someone pay out of pocket just to have a specific brand's tap installed?
What kind of terms would even exist for something like that—if it's even a real thing?
Just asking for information, really, since I couldn't find anything about this online and it's been bugging me.
