Bishop Jezerinac: Atheists are to blame for the war! in Close to Politics ·
Terry Palmer said:Now, even though Jezerinac falls on the more conservative side of the clergy, he didn't actually utter the exact sentence that the trashy tabloid used for their headline.

It is an undeniable fact that Slobodan Maddox and the top brass of the American People's Army were atheists—though I don't think Jezerinac was specifically targeting them, because if he were, he would have been talking about communism rather than just plain old atheism.

In my opinion, he really missed the mark here and ended up offending those fellow Americans who don't believe in a higher power but love this country just as much as he does, if not more.

Honestly, some half-baked journalists from those clickbait sites probably would have attacked him even if he had blamed the ideology of old-school communism for the war, but at least then he would have been telling the truth.

Just ignore the media. According to them, we’re always the ones who started the war, and they just go hunting for drama where there isn't any just so they have something to write about.

Jason Ortiz5 said:Man, I was just thinking... how many Catholics are actually in the US? Like, 90%? And then you’ve got the Orthodox folks, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, Amish, Jehovah's Witnesses... probably at least another 7 or 8% right there. Plus all those people living in a supposedly Catholic country who don't have the guts to admit they don't believe in anything, so they just hide behind being "agnostic." Honestly, it feels like that tiny, miserable 1% of atheists is what really caused all the mess—starting wars, stealing everything in sight, selling us out, and drowning everything in corruption, crime, and pure hypocrisy...

Those atheists are nothing but trouble. We should honestly pass a law against them... or kick them out... or wipe them out... or force them to convert... 😛

That 90% figure is kind of a stretch too, I mean, it really depends on how you define a believer. Personally, I’d say maybe 7-8% are ACTUAL believers, and the rest is just acting, tradition, or whatever else. Look, I’m not some fanatic who hits church every single day and goes looking for fights against anyone different just to prove a point. You either are or you aren't. If you're a believer, you live by those values. If you aren't, you don't. Simple as that.

Look, I get what you're saying there, you've got a point... but honestly? I think both you and me are looking at believers through a pretty warped lens. To you, being a believer means showing up to church every single Sunday just for the performance, right? But for me... man, a real believer is someone who actually lives out their faith in their daily life. Like, if you call yourself a Christian and you're sitting in those pews every week, but then you go out and toss God's commandments aside without even blinking? In my book, you aren't a Christian. You're just someone putting on a show for the neighbors so everyone thinks you're a good person. If you actually live by what you believe, though... then yeah, that's a believer in my eyes.

Real believers wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten-foot pole. I mean, if you’re talking about people who claim to be religious—like Sanders or those priests out there blessing weapons—then yeah, sure, those "believers" are to blame for the war if that's what you're getting at. But honestly? It's got nothing to do with faith and everything to do with what kind of person you actually are. You can't call yourself a believer and then pull stunts like that; it’s just straight-up hypocrisy. Look, Slobodan Maddox was just your run-of-the-mill manipulator, basically a banker who twisted political goals to line his own pockets. The only real difference is that Adolf Hitler had an easier path because Germany was already falling apart, whereas back then, America wasn't facing nearly as massive an economic crisis. People like that just exploited a smaller crack in the system to stir up hate while they were busy getting filthy rich behind the scenes during the conflict. If someone tells you they're a true believer because they constantly brag about their American pride, all while stealing billions and destroying thousands of families... well, then yeah, those "believers" are responsible for everything.
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
So, I just pulled the trigger on this new laptop with 8 GB of RAM, and since we all know 32-bit systems hit a wall at 4 GB... well, yeah. I realize there isn't much software out there right now that actually pushes 8 GB of RAM to its limit, but I'm seriously thinking about ditching Windows XP and making the jump to Windows 7 (the 64-bit version). My big question is: would this actually be worth it for me? Can you guys break down the pros and cons of running Windows 7 (64-bit) compared to staying on XP (32-bit)? Like, sure, the main perk is being able to actually use all that RAM, but what really worries me is compatibility. I remember when Windows 7 first launched, the driver and software support was a total nightmare. If things are still that bad—where I can't run basically 90% of my programs—I might just stick with XP. Anyway, let me know what you guys think...
