Here is what the Quran says about the universe
"We built the heavens with Our power, and indeed, it is We who are expanding it." (Az-Zariyat, 47)
"Do those who disbelieve not see that the heavens and the Earth were once a single entity, and then We separated them? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"
(Al-Anbiya', 30)
"Night and day, the sun and the moon—all float within their celestial orbits." (Al-Anbiya', 33)
This was written 1,400 years ago. How could any man back then possibly know that the heavens and the Earth started as one single unit?
I was being a bit vague earlier; what I really meant is that the more we understand, the more deeply we can truly empathize with others. God commanded us to show kindness toward all His creatures.
Sometimes it’s better to stop overthinking and just feel. Ronald Nelson2, if that's what your heart tells you, then you're right. It’s about actions, not empty words—God looks at our deeds and what lies within our hearts. I think I'll stop typing now before I say something I regret. Everyone needs to find their own path. Peace.
Look, blind faith is useless if you don't actually grasp what's happening. Every commandment from God and every word spoken by Jesus can be broken down logically; it’s not just about swallowing things whole. I've seen plenty of people in the Church who are clearly just using religion to mask the fact that their lives are falling apart. They bury their heads in the sand to avoid reality, praying incessantly for miracles while ignoring common sense. God isn't going to fix everything for you through prayer alone. If you're broke or out of shape, get up and actually do something about it. It's pure hypocrisy to pray for help and then turn around and refuse to lend a hand to someone else when they actually need it.
True. We should always approach things with an open mind. I’ve always felt that if you don't know something, there's no point in pretending you do—I only speak on what I actually understand. I won't claim the Quran is 100% divine truth or that the Bible is, but both contain truths. Some parts clearly feel like they were inserted just to intimidate people, but you have to recognize that for what it is and just ignore it. When a text starts weighing heavily on your soul, that's your sign it isn't from God.
Look, life is just one long lesson. There won't be some final exam where God grills us on everything we learned. He put us here to experience things, plain and simple. I don't even buy the whole hell concept; the fact that we suffer right here on Earth proves that pain is just an unavoidable part of the deal. Even in other faiths, they teach that both good and evil come from the same source. Honestly, there’s no point in arguing about this anymore. I'm done talking because I don't have all the answers. Who knows what tomorrow holds? Life might throw me a curveball that turns me into the worst version of myself. It isn't easy. For some, life is heaven; for others, it's a living hell. We'll see what happens. No one knows what kind of plan God has in store for us, but I'll keep fighting to be a better person. Everyone has their limits.

It’s just that sometimes we don't hear our own truth, or we fail to recognize it. We are part of something massive that transcends our individual selves. But we trick ourselves into thinking we have all the answers because, let's be honest, people absolutely hate not being able to explain things! So, they create these little belief systems based on their own preconceptions. Add a rigid structure to those assumptions, and boom—you’ve got yourself a whole religion.
When Muhammad was asked how he could possibly know so much, his response was simple: he knows nothing. Only God knows.
It’s a simple fact: any living thing acts against itself, not against God. You can't actually harm God. When we sin, we aren't attacking the divine; we're just sabotaging our own happiness. I'm convinced God set this whole game in motion because life is essentially a classroom—we're here to learn, and the lessons never stop. There's a line in the Quran I've always liked where it says God is a river and life is merely a game and a diversion; we shouldn't take the whole thing too seriously. Sin exists within religions because there is truth in them, which is why they've endured for so long. Truth is eternal, whereas a lie is a hollow nothingness with no foundation, destined to eventually destroy itself. Every evil eventually meets its end, and that's proof enough that God exists. If there were no God, everything would be permitted. Whether you look at the Quran or the Bible, truth is woven throughout, which is why God has allowed these faiths to persist for thousands of years.
In my view, he hasn't actually claimed to receive divine revelations or anything like that; honestly, we just find it easier to use "he" or "she" as a shorthand. There’s a universal truth out there that you can actually touch once you purge your soul of everything disrupting your inner peace. When you hit that state, you receive inspiration from God. I believe all of it stems from the Creator—people simply feel the truth in their hearts and put it on paper. Personally, I felt it myself once, right when God stepped in to help me, and that only happened because I prayed with 100% sincerity. All those healings occur because God's energy heals them; people simply align themselves with His truth, which is nothing but pure love and grace. If someone starts preaching about God but you can see they're unhinged, or even if they look perfectly normal but feel off, they're a liar. You can recognize that true divine energy just by looking at a photo of Pope John Paul II. Just look at his face.
Let’s get one thing straight: God is the ultimate sovereign and the smartest being in existence. Nothing escapes Him. It makes zero sense to suggest He could create angels only to have them turn rogue and start working against Him on Earth. He knows everything—He knows their hearts, assuming those things even exist. If any angels turned away, it’s because He permitted it as part of His design. Absolutely nothing happens in this world without His consent, and nobody can pull a fast one on Him. The idea that God sent Jesus to save humanity because we somehow "messed up" His original plan is just as ridiculous. To claim He sacrificed His Son because He didn't see our sins coming? That's nonsense. God is perfect. He knew exactly who we would become before He even breathed life into us. A perfect Being doesn't make mistakes or deal with unforeseen errors. It's all just foolishness.
According to the Quran, God intentionally lets Satan run loose. He isn't some separate entity acting outside of God's control; nothing is more powerful or smarter than the Creator. If God wanted to, He could wipe Satan out in a heartbeat, but instead, He allows him to exist to throw obstacles in our path so we can actually learn who God is. Nancy Wilson2, what kind of books are you reading if this is what you've come to believe?
You’re absolutely right about that. The scripture teaches us that truth isn't found out in the world, but deep within ourselves, because God lives inside us. That's why I hold the book in such high regard; the heart recognizes the truth immediately. It’s just like what the teachings say—once you read something, you feel that internal spark if it's real. Anyway, I'm heading out for a bit. I let my temper get the better of me, and I know I wasn't acting according to God's word, but damn it, I'm only human. I'm flesh and blood, not perfect. haha
Exactly. There’s a certain type of knowledge out there that simply doesn't originate from this world. Who knows? Maybe every religion just cherry-picked bits of it and twisted them to suit their own agendas. But you can't deny it—there is truth buried deep within those books.
Ever since I started reading the Quran, it’s been like an addiction I can't shake. It’s hit home because it validates everything I already believed. The text basically tells us that God wants us to study everything—that the universe is designed to be understood by the human mind. It warns against blind faith, urging us to think critically about everything so our belief actually comes from the heart. I've always stood for the truth, and there’s only one truth, so I’m right behind what you're saying. To me, God isn't some distant spirit floating in the clouds; He is everything. But honestly, reading this book is dangerous for people who aren't prepared. It'll wash your brain out if you aren't careful. That book is something else entirely.
I’ve gone through some of those books, and there's definitely a grain of truth in them. But I’m never walking away from my faith in God—He is everything. I do agree, though, that we need to ditch organized religion. We should just be natural. We are part of nature, even if we happen to be its most destructive element. In the wild, nothing kills because it wants to; they kill because they have to. Humans are different; we kill just because we have the capacity. Anything that cages the mind needs to be thrown out. Everything has a logical explanation.
Nancy Wilson2 said:We don't share your perspective, so we're supposedly "lost." It’s interesting, really—you lecture us about shedding our egos to embrace "simplicity," yet since you claim to have already embraced it, one would assume you dealt with your own ego ages ago. Hmm.
Furthermore, faith—or belief, if you prefer—is nothing more than a defensive mechanism employed by a fearful ego.
You argue that everything is simple, implying you understand it, but then you immediately follow up by stating that such things cannot be understood. I'm sorry, what?
And what exactly did these geniuses conclude?
I understand that life itself is beyond comprehension; if I truly understood it, I'd be God. I take things as they come. I admit I'm struggling because all of this gets under my skin. Part of me wants to just slap the atheists, but then I realize that would only leave me feeling worse. At the end of the day, they're just people—suffering, unhappy, and in desperate need of some compassion and love.
Honestly, you people are so blinded by your own arrogance that even if God stood right in front of you, you wouldn't believe it. You need to shatter those egos that aren't built on anything solid and just embrace simplicity. Everything is actually quite straightforward, but you keep trying to overanalyze things that simply can't be understood—things that the greatest minds throughout history already figured out long ago.
Susan Green15 said:What could possibly be the noble reasoning behind an omniscient God choosing not to share the kind of knowledge that could save millions of lives or simply make our existence less of a struggle?
During the Middle Ages, countless millions perished from the plague and various other ailments, not to mention the periods of famine caused by things like potato blight wiping out crops.
Why didn't God explain the mechanics of the plague or how to treat it, instead just watching silently as millions died, leaving us to stumble upon the cures entirely on our own?
Why do people continue to praise Jesus for miraculous healings rather than criticizing him for using his knowledge and abilities for his own promotion and glory, instead of teaching humanity medicine so we could actually heal ourselves—both in greater numbers and long after his passing?
God didn't design the world to be perfect—to have no sickness or death—because life isn't some video game where you just input a cheat code to fix everything when things go wrong. We aren't here just to lounge around; this whole thing is a school. Life is a constant struggle, much like how a bodybuilder only gets strong by pushing against heavy weights. Overcoming obstacles is what builds character and intelligence; without them, we’d be as helpless as those spoiled kids who have everything handed to them by overprotective parents. Get over yourself; you aren't the center of the universe, so stop whining. The world is harsh and always will be. Human nature hasn't changed through the centuries; only our tools have. You'll find wisdom once you realize that you know nothing, and truly, only God knows everything.
