bluebison47 said:It’s this weirdly private space where anyone—specifically those believers—can just wander in without an invite, a ticket, or any kind of permission. But the second you try to point out that some laws are being broken? Suddenly, everyone gets incredibly picky about who is entering and how they’re doing it.🙏

Maybe we're looking at some secret church or a cult that keeps the public out and only lets in the chosen few? It doesn't exactly feel Christian to me. 🤷

And I’ll say it again: there was no forced entry. We see footage from churches all year round, and nobody ever complains because, well, no one was actually breaking the law.

It wasn't even some private ceremony, like a baptism or a wedding.

Have you ever actually heard of etiquette? Or, you know, basic rules of conduct? Just because you're allowed to walk through the door doesn't mean you get to act like a cowboy.
And hey, could you actually address my previous reply to you?

bluebison47 said:They aren't enforcing the Law, but they certainly have the right—and maybe even the obligation—to point out when it's being broken, whether that happens in the middle of Times Square or in the privacy of some weekend cabin up in the Appalachian Mountains.

Unless, of course, you’re acting with good intentions, then I guess you can wander into a church or onto private property however you please 🙏 🙏 But if we’re doing something that isn't allowed, well, then they aren't going to just let us get away with it. 🙏

Look, nobody is even arguing that they can and should.
If, for instance, you found out about some criminal activity involving the LA Galaxy, would you really march up to Mamić waving paperwork and trespass onto his private estate, or would you just head to the police or the District Attorney?

Is it protecting privacy on someone's private property, or is it following the Law—you know, the kind that's directly tied to protecting public health? I mean, I guess it's a tough one... maybe. It feels like we're constantly torn between the two.

That’s... I mean, that's like saying we shouldn't care if there's white powder being moved around or violence happening in some nursing home, right? Because, well, have I ever heard of private property? I guess... maybe? It's just... it's a bit much, isn't it?🕺

Since when have journalists been the ones enforcing laws that are directly tied to protecting public health?

Look, if you’re out there growing or dealing drugs—just a hypothetical, obviously—the police can't just barge in whenever they feel like it. They need a warrant. And warrants? Those are issued by a judge. You probably already knew that, though—I mean, I shouldn't assume, but let's be real.
If things ever get physical at home—you know, if the police actually witness or hear any domestic violence happening—they can step in and react right then and there.
You can't just barge onto private property whenever you feel like it.

bluebison47 said:How can you even be sure she wasn't at a Backyard BBQ or somewhere in Golden Gate Park? 🤷 Besides, parks and private parties aren't off-limits or locked down, unlike churches and other secular institutions.

Even if she wasn't, maybe that just wasn't her assignment. It’s not like she went into this specific church to launch a personal crusade against the cross; she was likely just following orders.

The funniest part of all this is watching people practically advocate for stripping away freedom of speech and reporting rights, yet they’re the first ones to start shouting about "that old regime"—which, heaven help us, actually championed and enforced those very same ideas. 😍

Have you ever actually heard of private property and respecting it?

Elizabeth Mendoza said:Oh, I see. So because something has been happening for 500 years and involves religion, they just get to bypass the laws that everyone else in the country has to follow?

I mean, every single small town in America has some ancient tradition or religious parade. If we follow that logic, anyone could walk up today and ask why *their* specific group got a special pass while everyone else stays stuck with the standard rules.

It’s not about being above the law a second time. They were granted a permit. That makes the decision just as legal as any other ruling handed down by the same authority.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Elizabeth Mendoza said:So why doesn't the rulebook apply to them?

Actually, the rules *do* apply to them—that’s exactly why they went through the trouble of asking for permission in the first place. And, well, they got it. This whole procession has been going on for five centuries now, and it’s actually on the UNESCO list for intangible heritage. I'm guessing that's the main reason their request was greenlit. 😉

Anthony Jackson2 said:Right—because the poor police department had no clue there was a Mass going on. It’s funny how everyone else seemed to know.

It’s the exact same story as that mediocre "crusader" group—you can only imagine if anyone else tried to get permission to have 100 people causing a scene in the middle of the street. But sure, the Church can do it because laws don't apply to them. Clearly not in this case, either.

There were maybe fifteen people in the procession at most—barely a crowd, really. Everyone was playing by the rules, too—masks, gloves, keeping that social distance everyone’s been talking about. Even the local police were there keeping an eye on things, just like they do every single year. So... I have to ask, where exactly is the problem?

Elizabeth Mendoza said:The priest is totally freaking out because things have been slow for a few weeks, so he’s calling everyone to mass just to scrape together some cash for a steak dinner and a nice bottle of wine.

Passing along a comment I saw on Facebook from a local parishioner:
Every city would be lucky to have a priest like him. You people have no idea the sacrifices he made to build that church in Syria out of absolutely nothing—literally nothing. He lived in a shipping container for years—yes, you read that right, a container—and every single summer he’d head over to Germany to work construction just to fund the building project. At 23, he never once took a dime during a family blessing or ever asked for financial help. He is a true example of Jesus Christ. Just as Jesus drove the merchants out of the Temple of Jerusalem, Pope John Paul II had every right to drive the sellers of sensation and lies out of the church. And you didn't mention how he raised 400 $0.00 for the preschool in Syria, did you? But since he isn't selling newspapers, I guess you don't care about that. It's all just lies and smear campaigns. You're shaming your own profession, which has lost all credibility because of people like you.

Elizabeth Mendoza said:From what I can tell, that footage was shot on some gravel backroad, or is this guy seriously just driving his car through a church parking lot?

I took a look at the property records, and it turns out that footage was actually shot on private property.

I flagged this post because it’s blatant hate speech—plain and simple.
It got deleted in the meantime—total bummer—but I managed to snag a screenshot before it vanished. I’ll just paste the quote here (though, hey, if you guys really want me to upload the actual image, just say the word and I'll get on it).
Topic: Venezuela / Global Affairs / Politics

Julius Caesar, Enej's son.
Is COVID-19 going to absolutely wreck the local thugs and street punks over in Tehran?
I honestly wish I could just take all those bearded types—you know, the ones who act like they have a monopoly on interpreting religion—and just skin them alive, one by one.

Look, his post was deleted—and honestly, it’s for the best. There’s absolutely no point in entertaining that kind of hate speech around here. It doesn't accomplish anything, and frankly, it's just a waste of everyone's time. 🤔

I’ve already flagged several posts from that "Americans in the States vs. Americans in Herzegovina" thread—you know, the one that's basically just a political dumpster fire masquerading as a discussion. Honestly, it's getting ridiculous.
It feels like some people on here just use their own personal frustrations as an excuse to take swipes at entire groups of people—basically using individuals as punching bags to smear everyone else—and yet, you guys don't even blink. It’s like you're just watching it happen. I’ve reported this stuff multiple times now, but honestly, it feels like it goes totally ignored.
Here are a few examples:
Reddit Quote: I mean, look—it’s all about perspective, isn't it? We get so caught up in the granular details of these debates that we lose sight of the bigger picture—the actual reality of how things function on the ground here in the States. It’s easy to get loud, sure, but being loud doesn't necessarily mean you're right. I've spent way too much time staring at these kinds of arguments online—mostly because I clearly have nothing better to do—and it always seems to come back to this fundamental disagreement over what actually matters. It's like when people argue about urban planning in Chicago versus, say, Houston—everyone has an opinion, everyone thinks they've cracked the code, but the nuances are where the truth actually lives. We tend to ignore those nuances just to win a point. Anyway, I'm probably just overthinking this again—typical me—but I think we need to step back and realize that most of these heated exchanges are just noise. Just a lot of static.
The whole idea of denying West Herzegovina County even exists—it’s just... I don't know, it's wild. It feels like people are just trying to erase history or something. Honestly, it's pretty bizarre how some folks can just look at a map or a culture and act like it's not there. It's one of those things where you start questioning if everyone else is seeing the same reality you are.

Reddit Quote: I mean, honestly—it’s kind of wild when you really sit down and think about it. We all just sort of drift through these massive, complex systems without a second thought, right? One day you're just living your life, and the next, you realize how much of everything is shaped by these huge, invisible forces—politics, economics, the sheer weight of history—that we barely even notice until they start bumping into us. It’s like being on a plane and only realizing there's turbulence once your coffee starts splashing out of the cup. You were fine, you were steady, and then—bam—suddenly things feel a little shaky. And I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking it—definitely am, probably—but there's this sense that we're all just reacting to shifts we didn't see coming. It's a lot to process, actually. Just a lot.
Honestly, it’s wild how little you people from West Herzegovina County seem to grasp what’s actually going on.

Everyone from West Herzegovina County gets labeled as stupid—it’s like this universal joke that just won't die. Honestly, if I went around posting nonsense like "all Black people are dumb" or "all gay people have AIDS," I’d probably be swimming in reward points within a week. It's wild how certain groups just become easy targets for everyone's cheap shots.

Besides that—honestly, the whole thread is just one massive generalization aimed at all Americans from Canada.
Look, I get it—this probably isn't exactly the most thrilling topic for you guys to moderate—but once the sign-ups actually start rolling in, could you maybe just... keep an eye on things? Just a quick glance would be appreciated.

Just the one.

So, because of the pandemic, the Administrative Court pushed back every single hearing scheduled for tomorrow—except, get this, Plenković's appeal regarding the Commission's decision.

And the ruling.

http://us.n1info.com/News/a492481...prime-minister.html
The Administrative Court actually overturned the Commission's other decision against the Prime Minister too.

Honestly, it's just gross.👎 👎 👎

I mean, the way the Republican Party is just tearing down our institutions and basic civility here in America... it's just getting worse and worse.😢

When he says, "I reject such remarks," I swear I’d lose my mind.
At this point, nobody should even bring it up anymore because that's it—he rejected it. No analysis, no discussion, no nothing, just because His Excellency decided to brush the criticism aside.
If he actually had the nerve to claim he was going to stop Kovač, I would have looked him dead in the eye and demanded an answer: how exactly are you planning to stop me?

Face him or just call him out? 😁

The Niners... man, where do you even start with them? It’s one of those teams that just feels like a constant, swirling cycle of "are they actually elite?" and "wait, they might be unstoppable." There’s always that sense of impending greatness—or impending chaos—depending on which Sunday you're watching. They play with this specific kind of intensity that makes you lean in closer to the screen, even when you know exactly how the drive is going to end. It’s a bit exhausting, honestly, but I can't seem to look away. The Vikings—just thinking about them for a second. Honestly, you have to wonder where their heads are at lately. It’s one of those teams that keeps you perpetually stuck in this weird loop of hope and total frustration—you know the feeling. One week you think they've finally figured out the rhythm, and the next, everything just kind of falls apart. It's a rollercoaster, really. Not exactly the smoothest ride, if I'm being honest.
The Ravens... man, where do we even start with them? Just sitting here thinking about their situation—it’s one of those things that feels both incredibly promising and slightly maddening at the exact same time. You look at the roster and the talent level is undeniable, really, it's right there staring you in the face, but then you start weighing the variables—the coaching decisions, the momentum, the sheer unpredictability of it all—and suddenly you're spiraling a little bit. It’s a lot to digest. Titans Chiefs
Chiefs Texans Packers
The Packers — man, where do you even start with them? Just thinking about their current situation gets me all worked up, though I try to keep it cool. It’s one of those things that just keeps circling back in my head—you know how it is. One minute you think they've finally found that rhythm, and the next, everything feels like it's shifting under your feet again. It's a wild ride, honestly. Seahawks EDIT
