It’s like you’re reading my mind. I’ve been totally chill through this entire pregnancy too, which is wild because, normally, I’m a bit of a cynic and definitely have a short fuse. I’m just crossing my fingers that this calm lasts at least a little while after the baby arrives. 🙂

And regarding the driving thing—I’m out on the road by myself every other day going to my prenatal appointments. And yeah, people give me those weird looks. But let’s be real... who actually has the time to chauffeur someone to every single hospital visit? My husband has to work, too. It’s better if he saves his time off for when the baby is actually here.

Besides, I don't see why driving is an issue... it's not like I'm driving a semi-truck. 🤷

It totally takes me back to something that happened just two weeks ago. I dropped by my aunt's place, and her mother-in-law immediately starts hovering on the balcony—just watching everything. She begins grilling me about all sorts of things, and then she drops this: "So, you're carrying a boy, huh? Well, usually boys make women look more beautiful, but I wouldn't say that applies to you." First, I was just stunned—completely speechless—and then I just lost it and started cracking up. 😂

Then I ran into my neighbor at the grocery store, and she looked genuinely disappointed because my skin hasn't broken out at all. Like, seriously! Because apparently, the rumor is that every girl carrying a baby gets acne. 🙄

Aside from that, people have actually been giving me compliments, telling me I'm a really pretty pregnant woman. 😍

It's just that one old lady yesterday... she was just too much. 🙄

Dropped my mom off at her appointment and now I'm just sitting here in the car, waiting to see how everything turns out.

Anyway, the setting for this little drama is basically anywhere in suburbia.
While I was sitting there, this random woman—who I immediately recognized as your typical, nosy American neighbor who thinks she owns the sidewalk—approaches my car.

"Is that your mom?"
Yeah.

"So, why did she come by?"

"Are you pregnant?"
All of this is happening through a cracked window. 🙄

"Are you carrying a little one?"

"Did you drive her here?"

"How dare you be driving right now?"

"When is the due date?"

"You really need to take better care of yourself." 😲🙂🙂

"Back when I had my fifth child..." 🙄 🙂 🙂

Honestly, lady, please go back to your house... My pregnancy has been completely stress-free until now, totally free from any frustration caused by third parties who have absolutely nothing better to do. 🙄 ☕
