I feel like I’ve heard that phrase so many times lately that my patience is honestly starting to wear thin in a few different ways.
It seems like everyone and their mother is constantly complaining about the conditions in our public hospitals, and then there’s the endless stream of unsolicited advice telling me I better find some high-end private clinic connection before I go into labor or I'll be totally out of luck. 🤦 I mean, look, I’m fully aware that the healthcare system isn't exactly perfect right now, but seriously, can't people just give me a little breathing room?
This drives me crazy too, especially when women who have never even stepped foot in an OBGYN ward try to lecture me with that "well, you just have to..." attitude. It's exhausting...
Another thing that bugs me is when I mention in a group that I'm hoping for a girl while my husband wants a boy, and everyone immediately hits me with the "as long as they're healthy!" line.
Yeah, because clearly, I don't care if the baby is actually born alive... honestly, it's infuriating.
And when I'm craving a Big Mac and my husband won't let me have one... I might actually lose my mind, haha.🙂
