Looking back at the 2014 elections:

I can't say I really agree with that assessment. I actually live in a rural area, and the Democratic Party took the win here with 29.6% of the vote in my district—and they even led the entire county at 26.3%. From what I was looking at this morning regarding different counties, the Democratic Party is actually strongest in those isolated regions because that's where most of the immigrant populations have settled. Since there aren't many people living out there to begin with, every new arrival makes a massive impact on the numbers, doesn't it?

Touching my belly? Absolutely not! I couldn't stand anyone being handsy with me during my first pregnancy, and I feel exactly the same way this time around. The only people allowed to touch my bump are my little girl and the father-to-be 😁

I’m right at the finish line of my pregnancy—40 weeks in—and I have to admit, it’s driving me absolutely crazy. I can’t even make a quick trip to the grocery store without at least five people, most of whom I barely know or have only exchanged a polite nod with, cornering me to ask, "Soooooooo?! When is the big day? Any idea when it's happening?"
Joe Biden, how on earth am I supposed to know the exact moment? If I actually had a crystal ball, wouldn't I be using it to avoid these ridiculous questions instead? 🙂 🙂

It is the absolute truth! I was so certain that during my pregnancy, I would finally find the time to breeze through all twenty books on my list—not to mention some professional journals—since I couldn't get to them with work. But instead? Nothing. 🙂
My attention span has basically dropped to the level of a goldfish... 🙄

Honestly, I don’t get these horror stories any more than anyone else does... 🤷
I was four months pregnant at the time, and during my niece's birthday party, my brother-in-law's mother decided to corner me.
She was all smiles, rambling on about her neighbor who had the "perfect" pregnancy—you know the drill: young, healthy, flawless, blah, blah, blah—only to end the story by saying the woman's heart just stopped beating during her fifth month. I mean, seriously, WTF?! 🙂 It’s not like I’m unaware of how terrifying things can go wrong; why would anyone feel the need to inject extra fear into my head? 🙄
All I could do was stare at her, completely pale, and ask her why on earth she thought that was an appropriate thing to say to me!

Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive, because I ran into a coworker today who shouted, "Heyyyy moooom!" and before I could even process what was happening, he reached out and patted my stomach. 😲 🙂 🙂

On a side note, regarding boots and getting dressed—if I run into any trouble, my husband is more than happy to step in and help. For instance, just yesterday, he was the one taking off my boots for me. Why on earth should I be bending over when I have him by my side? 😁

It honestly drives me crazy when people start calling me "mom"... things like, "Hey mom, how's it going?" or "How are you doing, mom?"
I mean, seriously, WTF? I am not their mother, and I’m not even a mother yet—I'm just pregnant... 🙄
And right now, I feel like if anyone besides my own mom tries to touch my belly, I might actually break their hand. 😁
