What were your biggest pregnancy surprises and pet peeves?

What was the deal with people attributing my reaction to "wild hormones"? It honestly drives me insane when I’m not even pregnant and someone tries to play doctor, assuming I’m just having some PMS meltdown the second I raise my voice.
The truth is, people are becoming increasingly disconnected, and you can really see it in how they treat pregnant women. Look, I’m not asking for everyone to coddle me, but when someone literally turns their head away from a pregnant woman standing on a subway car? That is a new low.
I’m six months along, and this lady actually snapped at me for not giving up her seat on the train, calling me a "bratty little kid." When I told her straight up that I’m pregnant, she just looked at me deadpan and said, "Yeah right, where's the belly?!"
Sadly, I didn't have my prenatal medical records on me to shove down her throat.
Someone mentioned earlier how pregnant women with smaller bumps face discrimination, and honestly, I couldn't agree more.
And don't even get me started on my mom. She’s obsessed with body weight, so first she’s lecturing me about being careful not to gain too much, and now that she thinks I’m "too thin," she’s suddenly worried I won't have enough energy for breastfeeding or getting up during the night. It’s infuriating because she acted like I wasn't even pregnant at all—forcing me to walk and stay active because "it's healthy"—even though I have a tendency to literally pass out if I overexert myself physically.
