"I can tell by the way you're wearing your lipstick that you've got a girlfriend."
"...or maybe it's just the bloating..."
"....given how much cinnamon you've been eating lately..."
Fuck Off.
Swollen thigh. And painful.
I am still dealing with the constant irritation of wet underwear and the incessant need to urinate. 😠 It isn't as if I can simply change them whenever I please, given how much leaking occurs. On top of that, there is the perspiration, which seems to trigger a never-ending cycle of breakouts across my legs, groin, and everywhere else.😠😠😠
"Are you seriously that overweight?!"
😠
Go jump in a lake; your mother is the one who's heavy-set.😠
I’ve realized just how much it grates on my nerves when people spot me and immediately blurt out, "YOU'VE GROWN FAT!"—as if it were some sort of enthusiastic greeting or a casual observation. 😠

But honestly, the way they're treating me like I'm some kind of invalid? It's driving me absolutely insane 🙂
Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm suddenly incapable of doing my job 🙂
Indeed. There are moments when that attitude gets under my skin as well.
Yes, I believe I have finally pinpointed exactly what gets under my skin.
The question: "How many months along are you?" Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue how many months I am—I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it. I track the weeks, and I track the days; I could likely give you an exact day count if pressed, but months? Not a clue.
It seems people find weeks entirely irrelevant when you mention your progress; they are solely interested in the month.
Initially, I made an effort to explain the concept of weeks and why we track them that way, but I've lost interest in the endeavor. Now, I simply invent a number for the months and call it a day.
I realized earlier today just how much it irritates me that I can't simply put on my socks by lifting one leg straight out and stretching it. Instead, I have to perform this awkward, sideways maneuver. I can’t even do it standing up because I lose my balance, so I'm forced to sit down and struggle through the process like some frail old woman. 😠
I am more than ready for summer to arrive so I can finally retire the sock season.
It is truly remarkable how everyone seems fixated on their midsection, even when there is nothing to see yet. I fail to understand what they hope to find in a complete void.
Right now, I'm 20 weeks along. It honestly irritates me when people make comments about being "fat," but I’ve realized I don't actually mind at all when they touch my belly; in fact, I find it quite sweet.
That's where things stand for now, though I suppose we'll see how much more intense it gets once this bump really starts to show.
