-
- Learn how to fly and buy a little plane—nothing fancy, just a beat-up old thing so I could live out my Mister No fantasies.
- Buy a controlling stake in somewhere like Anheuser-Busch or maybe a massive ranching outfit (basically, become the king of beer and beef, which is essentially being master of the universe).😁

I have to admit, Mister No was my very first teenage crush.

🙂 Honestly, even when I'm under the weather, I can't be forced to drink things like chamomile; most teas just feel like overpriced juice to me.
Personal Top Lists & Rankings in Music ·
My top 5 tea picks
1. Mountain herbal blend
2. Earl Gray
3. Rooibos
4. A certain green and coconut blend marketed under the name Geisha (though, frankly, I have a stronger preference for black teas)
5. Rosehip (specifically the kind made from whole hips that leave those little bits behind)

I still think that one from Mutual—the Wild Kingdom of Omaha series, or something like that—is legendary. He was always stepping in to rescue all sorts of little creatures.
A flood.
The deer is swimming toward the shore, slow but steady.
He leaps right out of the helicopter. To save an animal. Whether he actually needed to or not, I suppose.
Splash. Splash. A huge splat.
He’s wrestling with the deer. It’s not like some Superman feat where he lifts it and flies away, but hey, it's a documentary, so they use the helicopter to hoist it up.
And the man has dealt with everything: pythons, rhinos, bats, even mountain lions.

The Ramones—any given track of theirs, really. 🙂

What exactly is going on with The Ramones? I mean, come on—it’s supposed to be one-two-three-four and you hit it! Where did the energy go?

*It's Alive* remains one of my absolute favorite live albums—it isn’t overrated by any stretch of the imagination!
The Ramones.
Ramones and Rocket to Russia
Let’s talk about albums. Honestly? They are incredibly overrated.

As far as I can tell, Acid Eaters isn't exactly anyone's favorite, and they certainly aren't held in high regard by most people. However, that’s beside the point—we aren't here to discuss albums like that.

The Ramones don't belong in the same conversation as this. 🙂

We used to call that "Grandma's special."

1. the foyer
2. the bathroom
3. the pantry
4. the closet
5. the storage room

I can't recall if she had a specific name for the living room; we always just called it the "parlor." Quite sophisticated, really.

Anyway, Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
I find it impossible to listen to that track without being reminded of strah i prijezir u LV.

😁
I assume the breakdown is:
1. hallway
2. bedroom
3. pantry/storage
4. ?
5. basement??

A nightstand and a psych ward aren't exactly the same thing. The first one doesn't even come with a mirror; it’s just your run-of-the-mill bedside table, plain and simple as its name implies.

np The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon 😍

I am well aware they aren't identical, but I still find it to be an apt descriptor for a certain type of furniture.

Here are the five funniest words my grandparents use:
1. Psych-cabinet (their word for that bedroom armoire with the mirror and shelves underneath; I've never heard anyone else say it...)
2. Filopeder (their twisted version of the word "pedophile")🤣 )
3. Shalabajzati (to mess around aimlessly)
4. Chikopernica (an old-school term for an ashtray)
5. Gemo (yet another "homegrown" slang term they use for anything made by General Motors)

1. My grandparents use that exact phrase too—"I could use a nightstand right now."
4. Oh, you can hear that one being tossed around all over the place.

Robin Booth said:Speaking of that medicinal honey mix, a buddy of mine over in California sent me a recipe, so I might try my hand at concocting some myself!

All you really need to do is buy some decent honey and grab some of the old-school infusions they make, and then...🙂

I’ve tried "brewing" it a few times myself—but honestly, none of my batches ever hit quite like the stuff you get poured for you in Pittsburgh.
It all comes down to the honey you use. If you go with chestnut honey, it turns this deep, golden-amber color that, personally, I find much better than using other types. And obviously, it depends heavily on the quality of the moonshine you're mixing it with. It’s a disaster if you use that cheap swill you pick up at a roadside stand near $4.25

truch2 said:The Top 5 American pizzas you can't order in Washington, D.C. (or even find in a grocery store), but I would give anything to have access to:

1. Medica

🙂

Good grief,
I occasionally bring some into the office—it disappears instantly.
It’s best during the winter months when everyone is dealing with colds; people tend to skip the alcohol like fools, but Medica works—the brandy disinfects, and the honey soothes a nasty sore throat.😁

Nicholas Perez33 said:The definitive ranking of the ugliest American accents:

1. New Orleans
2. New York City

Records that, in my humble opinion, are absolute masterpieces:

1. Trans Am - TA
2. Doug Marsch - Now You Know
3. Imperial Teen - On
4. Ash - Nu-Clear Sounds
5. Bad Religion - No Substance
6. Faith No More - Introduce Yourself
7. Elvis Costello - When I Was Cruel
8. Therapy? - Suicide Pact You First
9. Public Image Ltd - Album
10. GVSB - Freakonica

For me, numbers 4 (yes, Nu-Clear Sounds), 5, and 7 are the absolute best.

As for that New Orleans accent, it actually grew on me once I started living with a roommate from Louisiana. I've gotten used to it.
ironowl13 said:That’s basically the same as having a preference for certain colors... it's like saying you can't be with someone just because they prefer blue when you're more into red or yellow...😉

I have to disagree—you simply cannot equate basic colors with music. It's an absurd comparison, like trying to weigh a simple C major scale against a masterpiece by Rembrandt.
Colors and tones are merely the building blocks; paintings and music are the complex products resulting from how those elements are applied.

As for my taste in painting, I find it difficult to connect with anyone who dismisses still lifes or landscapes on sight.
Personally, I don't care what kind of music he listens to; he doesn't need to share my obsession with certain bands—as long as he doesn't blast Picasso while I'm trying to cook Sunday dinner.

Generally speaking, the constant glorification of that era is bad for my liver.

New Order is a massively overrated band.

I am in complete agreement.🙂

Ways to use eggs:

1. Scrambled
2. Pancakes
3. Steak and eggs
4. Hard-boiled
5. In a smoothie

Or just crack one raw into a glass! Just like Rocky—it's all about strength and vocal power.
