My own people don't say a word, yet I'm getting picked on by complete strangers. Like this waitress at my local coffee shop where I’m basically a regular. Seriously, what is that about?
I suppose I'll just let it slide, though, since it clearly gives her some sort of kick out of it, so I'll just take it on the chin.

Rebecca Murphy5 said:Honestly, the thing that caught me most off guard was getting hit with those pregnancy contractions... plus there’s this constant, nagging pain—it isn’t exactly excruciating, but it feels like I'm getting these little sharp stabs every few minutes.

That is precisely the point. Even though I am currently in my 26th week, I find myself constantly surprised by these pains; there is just no getting used to them, no matter how much time passes.

I suppose I must be one of those incredibly lucky people who rarely ventures out into the world! It’s clearly obvious that my outings are a rare occurrence. 😁

Whether it’s people practically jumping up in a crowded subway car, or some teller at a Chase branch loudly announcing to the entire bank that pregnant women get priority, or being ushered straight to the front of the line at the pharmacy, or even being given special treatment at the hospital—it happens constantly. I must look quite striking, I suppose. 😂
And on those rare occasions when people actually have the audacity to ignore me, I make it very clear and very loud that I am entitled to precedence.
I have absolutely no intention of suffering through their lack of basic manners.
I’ve been sitting here in the dark since yesterday, just staring into the void and weighing my options on what to actually do with my life.

dustymaker642 said:Samuel Ross60, there’s really no need for any extra explanation, everything is fine; I was just sharing how things came across to me while I was reading through the thread. Personally, I don't really follow posts in discussions that don't interest me, nor do I ever bother messaging people privately, so I just make my conclusions based strictly on what I can see right here in the topic where I'm actually participating. 🙂

Please don't let this get to you or stress out over nothing. People tend to take things way too personally on these online forums, though they really shouldn't. If someone asks for advice or an answer and I feel like I have something useful to offer, then I'll offer it. But if it feels like that person is just ignoring me or isn't getting what I'm saying, I simply stop replying. It never even crosses my mind to get dragged into huge arguments or engage in long, drawn-out debates via private message; I just write what I have to say on the thread and leave it at that. 🙂

If someone asks what steps to take after a bleeding incident and I've been through that exact same thing, I'm more than happy to share my experience. If that same person decides to go out and jump off a bridge regardless, well, that's their call to make. Our responses aren't just read by the person who originally asked the question while waiting for a reply; they're also picked up by random people searching for terms on Google. Because of that, your advice might end up being incredibly helpful to someone else down the road, provided it's solid advice. 🙂

I agree with you, though it does irritate me when a person writes one thing in one thread and something completely different in another, only to turn around and attack everyone who tries to warn them about making a mistake. My own advice was quite straightforward—just rest and endure it, meaning nothing that could cause further harm. And as for my tendency to occasionally lose my patience with certain people, I suppose that could be considered an exaggeration here. 🙂

That is precisely what gets under my skin!

dustymaker642 said:Samuel Ross60, I really do care about you, but you're always the first one to snap whenever someone happens to disagree with you. 😉 Not too long ago, you were tearing into some woman on another thread just because she wasn't following your specific advice on bed rest, acting like your methods are the only safe ones and that anything else anyone suggests is going to put the pregnancy at risk. 🙂

You want me to explain my reasoning? Fine.
The woman was right there in the middle of a breakdown, crying about how carefully she had to watch her every move, yet in a completely different thread, she was casually talking about planning trips and similar activities. I just chose not to call out the hypocrisy right then and there. Other users saw it too, which is exactly why I felt the need to be so incredibly blunt. Please understand, I truly wish nothing but the best for her!
I actually reached out to her privately to set the record straight after she started acting all smug and celebratory about my doctor's appointment—basically making snide, indirect comments hoping things wouldn't go well for me. We are drifting quite far off-topic here, but I can elaborate more in a private message if you're interested.

I thought I was in the "what's been driving you crazy since becoming a mom" thread; it took me a second to realize where I actually was.😲

But don't worry, I'm all too familiar with this kind of PDF.😉

It's fine 🙂
I definitely overreacted for no reason myself! Let's just keep things calm and peaceful. 🙂

As for those people on Fox News, they irritate me more than most, specifically those who act as if they are the only ones not doing the right thing while judging everyone else for their own shortcomings.

Chloe Mendoza2 said:If I should be cleaning up my forum history more often, 😂

don't worry, I'll get right on it. Thanks for the advice. 🤣

I suppose when one is capable of making statements like that, then yes, this is precisely the kind of topic where people tend to stay quiet, especially regarding matters of this nature.

Chloe Mendoza2 said:I’ve been catching up on the last three pages, and I can't help but notice how everyone seems ready to gang up on one user (pink, in this case) just because she dared to share her opinion.

It’s wild how many people here seem to live for nothing but petty jabs... I honestly don't get it.

Looking at the sheer volume of posts, it seems like the most activity happens on this thread and the motherhood thread. It really makes you wonder: just how much pent-up frustration are we all actually carrying?

Honestly, this whole thing is total bullshit.
And you’re claiming this thread has the most posts? Just go find another topic or, frankly, just leave the forum altogether.

Besides, after Pink suggested that people shouldn't have kids if they intend to just shove them in another room, I mean, seriously, who's actually overreacting here?!

electricpilot4 said:If it offers you any small measure of comfort, I actually headed back to my career once my little one hit the six-month mark, even though my husband didn't take any paternity leave at all! Since I live incredibly close to my office, I had a nanny who would simply bring him over to me during my breaks—especially since he was still on that stage where he wouldn't eat anything else—or I’d just make a quick dash back home whenever I could. Honestly, if I'm being completely truthful with myself, I feel like the most ungrateful, money-driven career woman imaginable, someone who prioritized her paycheck over spending those precious early moments with my poor, sweet boy.

I honestly think this person—though calling her a woman feels like a stretch—should just be banned from this forum permanently.

Brandon Barnes85 said:Am I being a complete failure as a mother just because I want this baby to arrive right this second instead of waiting those last two weeks until my due date, especially since I am honestly just completely exhausted by this whole pregnancy and I desperately want to be able to roll over in bed without struggling? 🤷

No, you aren't a failure at all, so stop that nonsense; if anything, you’re a saint, because clearly, you just want your little one looking up at you the moment you wake up.

The truth is, you don't even actually want this child!

Well, it looks like my kid is heading straight to the auction block!!

Go ahead and present yourselves; I want to see which one of you actually deserves to take my child home!
It’s a girl, by the way.

I’ve already been told plenty of times that I am neither a wife nor a mother!!!

redgardener5 said:Wait, you think He's a parent too?

redgardener5?!? I practically crossed myself twice and shouted "Hail Mary" seven times just thinking about your comment.

He is the CREATOR, which means He is the one who brought parents into existence in the first place.

Hannah Lewis2 said:Just let the baby sleep with you. You don't need to say a word. They'll figure it out. You'll be so in sync that one look will tell you everything you need to know.

But what happens if the kid wakes up before I do, just lying there staring at me while I'm still dead to the world?
And what if they walk away thinking their dad is their mom simply because they were the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes?

I’m right there with you, weeping as well!
Though if you think I’m crying out of sorrow, you couldn't be more mistaken; this is pure joy, a genuine epiphany! I’ve finally come to realize that I am one of those people who simply isn't meant to have children.

And honestly, there is something else weighing on my mind—my partner and I are living in sin, and I find myself wondering how on earth we would ever explain to a child that they were born before the wedding ceremony even took place.

Brandon Barnes85 said:For anyone interested, I am hosting a lecture this Friday afternoon at 5:00 PM called "Supernanny," and I will be providing organic snacks during the session along with a face mask for every participant to protect them from breathing in those nasty exhaust fumes.
There will also be a quick quiz at the end, and any participants who fail to meet the standards will be handed an abortion or adoption form on their way out depending on how far along they are in their pregnancy.

Shirley Temple, do you think maybe I don't have to get rid of it?
I want this baby because I know it's the only way I can keep my man!
What happens if I don't give birth? I won't have fulfilled my purpose! What even is a woman without a child?

And yes, I did dye my hair while pregnant. :mommy:

And yes, I plan on using Pampers instead of cloth diapers.
