Of course, being a total idiot, I just started walking straight toward one without thinking, and this young security guard had to stop me. "Whoa, hold up, don't go through the scanner," he says.
bubica clearly has more brains than I do 😍
It’s actually hilarious to me that the security guard doesn't have the slightest clue how the metal detector he uses hundreds of times a day actually works...
What gets under my skin more than anything else is how, the second people find out I'm pregnant, they immediately hit me with this one question:
"So, when's the wedding?"
Because obviously, getting engaged is just the standard next step on the checklist right after seeing those two lines on a pregnancy test, right? Just common sense...

Your doctor really should have told you, and honestly, if you aren't seeing a doctor constantly, you should probably be the one asking when they sent you in for testing...
Look, I was sent for testing by my OBGYN, and she isn't even in the same medical group as my primary care physician. Calling my GP just to ask about it... yeah, right.
Can someone please walk me through how this whole electronic prescription thing actually works for blood work? And more importantly, how am I supposed to verify if it’s even showing up on my ID card? I had this incredibly awkward moment recently where I walked all the way to the pharmacy only to realize I had to trek right back to the doctor's office... turns out the nurse just forgot to hit "enter" on her computer, so there was absolutely nothing linked to my insurance card. Total waste of a trip...
And while we’re on the subject, which lab should I actually head to in New York City? Does it matter where I live, or can I just pop into any clinic I feel like... I'm living over in Queens, by the way.
I rarely ever make it to the doctor's office, but man, I just completely blew through my schedule today... 🤷
