Nothing to write home about, honestly pretty mediocre
It was alright for me, just a decent enough watch, but my friend thought it was an absolute train wreck 😁
I hate that feeling. I really do. I hate that heavy sensation where it feels impossible to break out of that blue bubble and realize that things aren't actually quite so bleak. I can't stand the idea that life is nothing more than a constant struggle; life shouldn't just be about fighting. Being self-aware and mindful of the people around you can be a lot to swallow, but it shouldn't act as a barrier to joy, to fun, to the sunshine, or to warmth 😢
Nothing is truly that gray. People just exhaust themselves over nonsense. They don't take enough action, they don't spend enough time thinking about what actually brings them happiness, they don't play enough, and they rarely bother to explore their own souls because they think they already have themselves figured out—that they’re just "built this way," or that they don't fit in, or that there's nobody out there for them, or that they don't know what they want, or that they'll never be happy, blah blah blah. I don't believe someone who truly knows what they want and what they need can be—well, miserably unhappy. I get that people fall into holes that are hard to climb out of, but nothing is ever quite that black. Being happy is difficult, sure, but it isn't impossible. Life is about chasing that happiness, building memories, constructing relationships that last, meeting people, growing closer to some and drifting away from others—it's just about building a warm environment and solid foundations for the future. And if you don't know what you want? Well, put in the work to find out, then go after it, and that's that. If you want to call it a struggle, fine—me? I just call it life
Of course you have to put in effort and energy. Of course everything won't always be perfect. It's completely normal to feel low sometimes, but that's really all there is to it 😁
How things end up depends entirely on us. Hiding away in depression, belittling other people and our connections, neglecting the things that make us feel alive, or dismissing our own strength and willpower... those are just excuses. Try to make things better. Stop the complaining, get moving, and things will turn out great 😁 If you feel like your life lacks meaning, that's on you. Go find it.
If you feel like something is wrong with you—if it hurts, if it bothers you, if it scrapes at your soul—then you need to change something.
That's just how I am, and I'm doing alright. Sometimes you slide back into old habits; I suppose everyone needs those blue minutes (hours, days) every now and then... But you shouldn't live your whole life accepting it that way.
If it's a fight, then we're fighting ourselves, because there isn't much we can do against everything else. Suicide is just a wonderful idea—solve all your problems by multiplying them by 100,000 and dumping them right onto the shoulders of your loved ones...
( I'm speaking in the third person just for the sake of it, I'm not addressing anyone specifically, though I guess I'm even nagging myself a little bit 🙂 )
I’m thinking all of this might actually apply more to ambidextrous folks, since they're essentially engaging more areas of the brain at once, rather than just being strictly right-handed or left-handed 😵 hmmm, and honestly, speaking from my own experience, I wouldn't go so far as to say lefties are any smarter than righties. I have plenty of friends who are left-handed—and plenty who aren't—and I've never really noticed a gap in intelligence or intellect between them :/
