No, I get it, everything's fine. 🙂
Alright, so here’s what just happened... I went to delete part of the text (everything after number 21) so my thoughts wouldn't be visible, intending to just put a Bulleted list on the next line. Suddenly—boom—a bullet point appears at the start of the very first line. 😕 Now it's working normally.

Anyway, this was exactly what occurred; hopefully, it makes more sense now. 🙂

😕😕😕😕

Let's try this instead: after number 21, there should be some kind of question or something similar, but you shouldn't have a Bullet at the beginning. But then, when you move to a new line and want to write your responses using bullets??? So, you type the question number => question, then you hit enter (with or without it, however you like), type a dash "-", a space, and then your text. If you want the next line to also have a dash, you just hit enter at the end of the previous line. We've finished the first question and its bullets. Now, you want to write the next question (22), right? When you hit enter and a dash automatically pops up, you just use backspace to kill that dash, return to the start of the new line, type "22.", and repeat the process for all your questions. Is there really an issue with that???

I've been grinding away at this one document for a few days now, just typing out my bullet points the standard way—hit enter, the bullet appears on the next line, type away. Then, out of nowhere (I probably hit some random key combination without realizing it, though heaven knows which one), the bullets stop appearing until *after* I start typing the text.
That’s not how I work. And I want to know what went wrong! This isn't even the first time this kind of thing has happened to me; I accidentally trigger some obscure setting with a shortcut and then spend days hunting through menus trying to figure out how to undo it. 😉

Honestly, I'm not quite following what's happening here, but since you mentioned you don't know which shortcut caused the mess, maybe this will help you fix it. I can't seem to upload images directly to this thread, so I'll just give you the link where you can see the screenshot.

Let me ask you one more time: if you just need basic rounding, why overcomplicate things? Just use the ROUND function.

Bingo. That’s the one! 🙏
Walter Jackson48 said:If your base value is sitting in cell B166, try running this formula:

=IF(MOD(B166*100,100)=75,TRUNC(B166)+0.5,ROUNDUP(B166/0.5,5)*0.5)

It doesn't actually work 😕 or maybe I just don't know how to use it 🤷
Hey, I’ve run into a bit of a snag here and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction (Excel)!!!! The TRUNC function basically just "chops off" decimals at a certain point. It works fine if I want to take a number with, say, 10 decimal places and force it down to 6, but what happens when I actually need some logic applied? If I want that sixth decimal place to round up or down instead of just being sliced away, how do I make that happen? Thanks!

P.S. To make my question a little clearer, here is a quick numerical example:
0.123456789 => using the TRUNC command to keep five decimal places => 0.12345. But now, I want that last digit to be a 6 instead of a 5, because logically, shouldn't it be rounding up to the nearest value? 🙂)
