What were your biggest pregnancy surprises and pet peeves?

I spent my entire afternoon today scrolling through these forums on my iPad just to catch up on everything I missed 😢 and here I am again 😢
My own kid hasn't even looked at me—he’s been wide awake for five minutes now, just staring past me...

And let’s be honest—sometimes while I'm nursing him in the armchair or propped up on the bed, I actually drift off, so I’m not even watching him!!
I swear, in a few years, our kids are going to start some sort of support group for children whose mothers weren't watching them 24/7, or maybe for those of us who were basically "sleep-deprived zombies" while they slept in their own nurseries 🙂
