This is my first pregnancy that has actually made it this far.

It’s just a little easier to keep fighting, even when you're battling your own mind, if you can hold onto the idea that a positive outcome is waiting for you too, rather than feeling like a good result is some exclusive privilege reserved only for the lucky few.

I went through failed IVF cycles, surgeries, miscarriages... I definitely can't be as zen as someone who got pregnant on their first try without dealing with all those setbacks and broken hopes.

But, I guess, don't let the past paralyze you. This is a whole new pregnancy. It's a new life growing inside you, a new little miracle. 😍 All those fears and dark thoughts creeping in? They're just thoughts. They aren't reality, and you shouldn't fixate on them. Whether they're positive or negative, they don't have any magical power over what happens. They don't actually matter.

Nobody knows what the future holds, and nobody can promise you that everything will be okay. But the odds are on your side. You've made it past the riskiest window. Just try to take it one day at a time. 🙂

Girls, thank you so much for the kind words!😍

I have to admit, I’ve really been leaning into some much-needed downtime over the last few days. I've finally allowed myself to just... let go and relax.😁I’ve actually started wearing tight shirts now—like, I’m intentionally showing off my pregnancy in public... that’s definitely a huge step forward for me!

I’ve got an ultrasound scheduled for Monday, a month after my last one, but honestly? I am growing so incredibly fast right now. My belly is expanding by the day—I actually realized today that it’s getting physically difficult to even bend over comfortably! At this point, everything absolutely has to be okay.🎉

I’m going to drift slightly off-topic here, if you don't mind, but I honestly don't have much more to add to the current discussion. As far as I'm concerned, nothing about this topic is really getting under my skin just yet.

Regardless of that intuition, I still found myself obsessing over statistics and reading all these tragic horror stories online and on forums; I didn't even dare trust my own instincts, instead waiting for those "guaranteed" weeks to pass before I’d allow myself to admit I was actually pregnant.

Looking back, it was pretty foolish. Later on, once I managed to settle my mind—and by the way, I ended up on bed rest during my second trimester and stayed there basically until my due date—it became much easier to handle things because I truly believed it would work out; I completely rewired my mindset. Sure, I read about terrible births, but I didn't view them as something destined for me; I saw them more as warnings to pick the right hospital, to make sure I didn't head to the maternity ward too early (because they'll rush you through, and I wasn't having that), and to ensure that, if possible, my partner—who was fully briefed on all the potential nightmares—was by my side every single second.

In the end, I had the kind of delivery I’d hoped for, bringing a big, healthy baby into the world just like I felt would happen, and the only real hurdle we faced was breastfeeding. My intuition during pregnancy kept whispering that things might get tricky there, so I was mentally braced for any obstacles. We’re hitting the three-week mark tomorrow, and we’ve had two days of exclusive nursing; we've already dropped the pregnancy weight, and it feels like the hardest part regarding that whole topic is behind us. It really helped that I educated myself beforehand on what could go wrong, because I knew we could pull through no matter how rough the start was. If I hadn't done that research, people around me probably would have tried to convince me to just use formula because they'd claim my milk wasn't good enough.

This week, I actually spent three days alone with my two-week-old. My mother-in-law was there to "help" during the first week, but she honestly caused more problems than if she had just stayed home. Since I don't have my own mom around, and my sister has two little kids of her own living halfway across the country, I eventually realized that nobody can help me quite the way I can help myself. It turns out the two of us can survive just fine whenever Dad has to go away on a business trip.

Try to take those scary stories as a guide for what to prepare for, rather than something that leaves you stuck in fear. Your babies need you to be strong, resilient, and authentically yourself—exactly who you are.

It isn't all sunshine and rainbows, obviously, but there is so much beauty in this that all the difficult parts become incredibly bearable.

I've definitely learned that as a mother, I have to listen to my own gut; in these three weeks, my intuition has proven itself right so many times, even when the "experts" around me were insisting otherwise. You simply have to learn how to trust yourself and your own body.

Look, I really don't want to rain on your parade or kill the good vibes you've got going here, but there’s one thing in your post that’s really sticking in my craw...

About a year and a half ago, I went through a missed miscarriage. I can still remember it so vividly—it was right around the six-week mark—when I had this sudden, overwhelming gut feeling that everything was going to be just fine.😍
It didn't even happen. Honestly, my heart skipped a beat for a second there—I actually thought it was going to go down—but it was just a momentary flash before it vanished.

So, here’s where I am right now: I’m currently in my second pregnancy, finishing up week 14, and honestly? I just cannot find any way to relax. It’s been tough. On top of that, I’m still basically "hiding" the fact that I’m pregnant from the rest of the world—aside from my inner circle, of course, but they’ve known for a while now. The other day, I actually went into the office even though I’m technically supposed to be on medical leave. I felt like I had to go undercover, wearing these baggy, oversized clothes just to camouflage everything because my bump is already getting pretty noticeable, and usually, I’m the type of person who loves wearing tight, form-fitting outfits. It felt so strange.

I honestly have no idea how to get rid of this tension. It’s just constant.🤷

That fear just won't let up. Honestly, I’m counting down the days until she starts making some noise—just little thumps and bangs through the monitor. I need that daily reassurance, you know? Just hearing her move so I can finally tell myself, "Okay, she's alive, she's chill, and she's doing just fine."😍
