What a total mess with the tire strategy at Luja—honestly, he just needs to drive instead of whining. It’s basically over for him now, though I guess he’s technically right
“It's been brought to our attention,” says Horner. Yeah, right—like they hired some private investigator just to shadow Mercedes-Benz. Honestly, Horner is basically the king of being a jerk among team managers.
Jacob Castillo70 said:I honestly just don't get what Horner is playing at. He’s out here spinning these wild theories that Mercedes-Benz is actively blocking Albon from moving to Williams, when in reality, he's doing much more than just obstructing Albon. He’s even throwing a wrench in Gasly’s gears just to prevent Perez's absolute disaster of a performance from making Max lose his cool.
With all this Max hysteria going on for years now—especially when he didn't even have a winning car—any second driver stepping into a team with an atmosphere as toxic as the one Helmut creates... it's no wonder everyone's failing.
Honestly, if they just went out onto the track with paper towels to soak up the water by hand, it’d still be a better call than this nonsense they've cooked up. It's about as effective as some corrupt local bureaucrat trying to get things done at City Hall—just a total disaster right now.
It’s blindingly obvious why they split the points—money talks. What I don't get is why nobody bothered to move the race up when the forecast was actually looking decent. Every single weather report we checked back home was screaming Gilgamesh 2.0 for Sunday afternoon after 3 PM, and if us pathetic outsiders saw it coming, then Mass and his cronies definitely should have too. I mean, the Formula 3 race happened earlier—sure, there was a delay because of the rain, but it actually happened. Moving that would've been way easier (read: cheaper) to push to Monday, but that would require having an actual strategic brain, which was totally absent here.
Given that the weather was known days in advance, it's absolutely insane that they were just winging it on-site, playing games with the clock and debating what to do. If you see a literal deluge on the radar, you develop a worst-case scenario instead of making up stupid excuses on the fly. Since they already decided to split the points after that pathetic sprint behind the SC, they could've just run one more lap in the first session and saved us three hours of watching rain fall and everyone in the stands catching a cold or worse.
Total system failure. It rained. In America. Where it always rains. 🙏

They basically left tens of thousands of people out there freezing their asses off—probably gonna deal with chronic joint pain later—just so millions of viewers could sit through Croft and Brundle trying to stretch four hours of watching rain fall into something remotely interesting. All while they scramble to cram everything back into one day. And the best they could come up with? A parade lap where drivers go 2x2, awarding "half points" that they didn't even bother to show on the final standings at the end of the race. Just a complete mess.
