So, I’m sitting here with this Dell Inspiron laptop—it’s got a built-in camera and everything—but I am hitting a massive wall because I can't get the damn thing to actually open anywhere! There isn't even an icon to click on... nothing. The weird part? The camera itself clearly works because when I jump on a Zoom call, the video looks totally fine and everything is running smoothly. I've tried downloading all sorts of different software—I even scoured the official Dell support pages—but every single time I try to launch a camera app, I just get stuck staring at a black screen. It's infuriating... there's this little indicator light right next to the lens that’s supposed to glow when the camera is active, right? Well, that light pops on perfectly fine when I'm using Zoom, but the second I try to open any other program, it stays dark. Total silence. I’m not exactly some tech wizard or anything, but I have a feeling it might be a driver issue since it functions just fine in Zoom... but then why won't it work anywhere else?! Anyway, if anyone knows what's going on, please help me out. 😁
