Since we’re already talking about Syd, we might as well mention how a whole bunch of artists have released albums heavily inspired by him; I’m talking about folks like Robyn Hitchcock, Julian Cope, Kevin Ayers, Levitation, Blur, The Shins, Octopus, Codeine, Martin Newell, and plenty of others...

Look, if we're being realistic—he left Pink Floyd back in 1968 after contributing nothing but 'Jugaband blues' to 'A Saucerful of Secrets'—and then he only put out two albums after that...
The first one was recorded throughout '68 and '69, produced by Waters and David Gilmour, and it was called 'The Madcap Laughs'.
The second one came out in 1970, also produced by David Gilmour, titled 'Barrett'!
He managed to scrape by all these years on royalties because whenever Pink Floyd released something complicated, David Gilmour would insist on throwing in something from the Syd era just so Syd would get a cut too. For example, on the 'Pulse' album, they included 'Astronomy Domine' just as a nod to that...

Here’s a little something about Syd.
On June 5, 1975, while they were tracking vocals for "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (which, let's be real, is all about him), Syd Barrett just wandered right into the studio during a Pink Floyd session. He was pretty heavily overweight by then and had shaved off his eyebrows, so honestly, nobody even recognized him at first. He walked up to Richard Wright and asked him when he’d finally get a chance to play guitar again. Then Waters turned to him and asked what he thought of the track, and Syd just goes, "It's a bit boring," turns around, and vanishes. He just walked all the way back home to Cambridge... where he’s lived for the last 30 years.
For those entire 30 years, Syd refused to say a single word about Pink Floyd, right up until three years ago when he watched that BBC documentary about himself for the very first time. His only comment? He told his sister it was "too much noise."

Of course, that guitar still carries that unmistakable Pink Floyd vibe. It might sound a bit softer or even a little slower these days, but man, the soul is definitely still there.......
actually, I’m still sitting here listening to the album. Maybe I'll actually act a bit smarter after this weekend passes........but whatever, Gilmour is just Gilmour. The guy always delivers, totally flawless.......

Just picked up this CD today. Has anyone actually sat down and listened to this new Gilmour record yet? It’s his first one in thirteen years... seriously... What’s the verdict? Any thoughts?

I noticed nobody is even mentioning Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank), and honestly, he might actually have a shot. Maybe Oscar Pereiro Sio (Phonak) does too, but that's just a maybe...

Alright, look, I need some info—well, actually, it’s for my wife, not me.
Basically, after her second kid, her body just won't snap back to how it used to be. Don't get me wrong, she lost all the baby weight, but this extra skin on her stomach? It's just stuck there. She went to see her doctor, and the lady basically told her straight up that even if she spent 100 hours a week at the gym or tried every diet under the sun, it wouldn't matter... the only fix is a surgeon's knife.
So now we're looking into this whole "tummy tuck" thing to get rid of the loose skin (not the fat!)
We want to know if anyone here has actually gone through with it. How much does a procedure like that run in Washington, D.C., and where should we even look? Who are the top-tier plastic surgeons in the States, what are they charging for something like this, and what's the actual process like????
Seriously, we need every bit of info we can get. If you've heard anything or have any leads, please, just speak up...........
