Eating in the ZONE in Health ·
Honestly, all that obsessive macro counting in the knowledge zone... it’s just too much for me. Such an overkill.
I mean, pretty much every meal you eat already has a mix of carbs, protein, and fats anyway, so there's really no need to stress out over measuring every single gram.

Just try to cut back on those heavy hitters—you know, things like white bread, potatoes, pasta, or rice.
And seriously, just toss the margarine and any hydrogenated oils straight into the trash.
Maybe go easy on the red meat too.

Instead, grab more yogurt, some feta or cottage cheese, fish, olive oil... tons of veggies.

Don't let it get to you. Just stay positive and keep a good attitude.
Spend less time staring at a computer screen and more time out running.

.. and you'll feel way healthier.

Instead, He wants one thing, and one thing only: STAND BY WHAT YOUR CONSCIENCE TELLS YOU! Stand by what you believe in...

Conscience? Sure. But convictions? Not so much.
Because let's be real, a conviction can be totally wrong...
We're constantly learning new things and having these eye-opening experiences every single day, so it’s actually pretty normal to shift gears and change our minds about what we thought we believed once we know better.
Nicole Martinez9, I don't think you're quite catching my drift here...
Now you're throwing around terms like "Christian-educated conscience," which honestly just sounds like a fancy way of saying what you called a "harmonized conscience" earlier.

The thing is, we don't really "train" our conscience... it already knows more than any school, any book, or any teacher ever could.
There’s just nothing more reliable to help us tell right from wrong.

Even if God Himself showed up right in front of you, He wouldn't be a bigger authority than your own inner voice. I mean, how can you even be certain it's actually God?
It’s the same deal when you put some book above your own conscience. At the end of the day, people write books.
Nicole Martinez9 said:Since I truly believe conscience is a gift from God, it just feels right to align it with His Word.

Aligning your conscience? Seriously?

The second you start trying to "align" it, it isn't even a conscience anymore... it’s something else entirely.

Just let that gift from God be what it was when He gave it to you... don't go meddling with it.
Because if you start tweaking what you were given, it doesn't take much before it stops being divine and starts feeling... well, demonic.

Like, you read something in the Bible about how newborn babies had to be slaughtered because of their parents' sins, and if you're a "true believer," you'll try to force your conscience to agree with that.

If you actually manage to pull that off, it’s basically like taking the gift God gave you and handing it back to Him...
And honestly? You'd basically be slapping Him in the face while you're at it.
Nicole Martinez9, conscience doesn't just align itself with whatever you think... It’s not some byproduct of whether you believe in the Bible or not.

I mean, look... there are plenty of people out there who claim to follow the Bible but they're ready to kill over the smallest thing. Like that one officer in the military who used to execute people just because of where they were born, not even because they did anything wrong... and then he'd go right back to praying to God afterward. Just a perfect example of what "believers" can actually be like.

And then you got the complete opposite side... folks who don't believe in anything at all, yet their conscience won't even let them step on an ant.

Conscience has nothing to do with faith.

Sure, if your religion tells you to follow certain moral rules, fine... but that's just discipline, not conscience.
That inner voice? It comes from deep inside... and it doesn't care what you believe in.
Betty Wells31, what you just laid out there... that isn't conscience. That's just basic math. You already know the hammer is gonna drop, so you're playing it safe to avoid the penalty.

Real conscience? That's a whole different animal. It’s when the consequences don't even enter the equation... you just know.

The fear of getting busted lives in your head, sure, but that inner voice? Conscience doesn't come from your brain... it comes from somewhere much deeper within us.
Conscience... it’s like this divine spark we just happen to receive.
It’s almost like an injection that God pumps straight into our souls.
