Look at it this way:
1. This "friend" was never actually a friend to begin with—it’s probably for the best that she finally showed her true colors now. Just pour some water down your stairs to make sure she stays away... you know, an old superstition to keep bad luck from returning.
2. And honestly, if he’s acting like this, he clearly isn't the one for you either. Go ahead and pour some water down those stairs for him too.
3. You lost your job.

How comforting...

Honestly, you're being pretty dense here. If you don't "get" Fripp, that’s entirely your loss.
Just go lick 😁(copyright 😉 )

Look, my post isn't some performance meant to entertain you—and if you weren't actually at the show, you might want to just sit back and listen to your King Crimson CDs instead.
Next time there's a G3, I'll probably just hop on stage with a power drill, spend half an hour boring holes into a green wooden plank, and act like I'm the coolest, most original guy in the room—just like Fripp...
Truly groundbreaking stuff.

Honestly, hardly anyone in the crowd even knew who that little suit-wearing guy was. Even Pete Penava—leader of one of the worst bands on the planet—couldn't name a single song from that King Crimson set they supposedly performed by three guys allegedly known as the best guitarists in the world (what do you call that measuring tool used to judge someone's guitar skills again?).
Robert Fripp—who I honestly thought was untouchable—has truly hit rock bottom.

Give me a break!
The only tedious show-off at that concert was Fripp with his mindless half-hour of string manipulation and knob-turning. For the first two minutes, it was almost interesting, but then it just became mind-numbingly boring. The guy is so pathetic and arrogant that he didn't even play anything coherent at the Red Line; he just sat there fiddling with things in the corner, and those two or three solos were just pitiful.
I'm not saying he's a bad guitarist—far from it—but what happened on G3 was genuinely sad. If he was just there to mess around, he shouldn't have shown up at all.
IMHO, Satriani, and especially Vai, are both better and way more engaging than him. As for old Robert... he's past his prime...

old and depressing 😁

Now it’s finally time for some actual wins. 👍

I told you—time heals everything...
Frank Gonzalez6 said:Pig, here is a little 🙂 for a good morning 😁 (think of it as a hug, haha)

Hehe, a decent little hug... 😁

So, what's the latest with you? Has that IT guy reached out yet?
Frank Gonzalez6 said:Well, there you have it—even the Pig won't give me any luck...🙂

The Pig has gone to bed for the night... 😁

Here, take this one 😘
Look, honey, stop listening to those depressing ballads and just eat some chocolate instead.

Chocolate is pure happiness.😁

I thought I was being all profound and wise, then I look at my own lyrics at the end

Is that Mariah Carey? Don't come for me—I don't usually listen to that kind of music...

Yeah, the holidays are honestly the worst. Especially Christmas. It’s snowing outside, the lights are twinkling everywhere, and you’re just sitting there alone while the people you actually care about are somewhere else entirely...

I don't have a magic formula for you—not really—but since I’ve been stuck in this exact same spot for two weeks now, I can at least offer some advice...

Don't bother listening to that sappy R&B stuff—or any love songs for that matter...

Don't go watching any romance movies...

Hide, burn, or just toss everything that reminds you of him—delete those texts, wipe his number from your phone... just get it out of sight.

Try to recall all the awful things they did to you...

Don't just sit there by yourself—get out of the house and go hang out with some friends...

No matter how much you feel the urge to reach out—believe me, I get it—just don't send him those texts, don't call him, and for heaven's sake, just avoid running into him...

Just let it all out—crying actually helps...

Don’t go rushing out to find someone new immediately—you'll just end up trying to use them as a quick fix for what you lost, and let's be honest, that never actually works...

Well, there you go—hopefully that actually helped you out, even if just a little bit...

If you aren't feeling any better, just give me a shout—we'll figure something out... 🙂

...I don't post often—despite being lurking here for nearly four years—so if I’m going to bother, I might as well make it as ridiculous as some of the other threads and posts on this board...

Look, you have to realize that people occasionally find themselves in various sentimental, emotional, or intoxicated states where they start overthinking everything and letting any random thought slip through...

I know from experience—having been sobbed out drunk more than a few times, even though that isn't my usual vibe (crying 🙂)

In those moments, people usually just want to vent to someone or simply want validation for how they're feeling. And honestly, an online forum is probably the best place for that—everyone is anonymous, supposedly supportive, and all that...

If you've never found yourself in a state like that, then I truly envy you. But I'm fairly certain that someday, you'll find yourself needing advice, help, or just a sounding board...

So, try to show a little empathy.

Take care 👍
