Moving on is such a difficult process, isn't it? I guess there aren't really any set rules for it. For some people, it might take a month or two, while for others, it could be years. It probably just depends on someone's personality, how long the relationship lasted, and all that stuff. In any case, I suppose it takes time for both sides. And honestly, who has the time to rush it? If you try to push things too hard during that period—even if you don't truly believe you can ever fully forget certain things—you're basically just scoring an own goal. I think the most important thing is to stay cool and not be overbearing, just letting the other person realize when the timing is right. If you're too aggressive or try too hard, I guess you won't achieve anything at all. Just be yourself, but maybe don't let them think you'll be happy just being "great friends" again. Simply show her that you're interested, and then give her the space to process everything and decide what she wants to do. It’s perfectly fine if she wants to take things slow; it actually shows she isn't just looking for something superficial. If she's truly special to you, I guess it's worth waiting a little bit. It will pay off!
