Angela Flores76 said:I don't see much point in sending it via certified mail—especially since it's so light. You can check the rates online by going to the international shipping section and selecting the registered option from the dropdown. For what you're looking at, it would cost about $10. 🙂

Thanks for the help, Angela Flores76!
I checked out that calculator, I just wanted to see if anyone actually sends items that light via certified mail. From what I gathered reading through their site, "certified" seems to imply a letter... and I wasn't entirely sure if they allow anything that isn't just paper 🙂
I tried emailing them too, but no luck. I even called their customer service line, but the guy on the other end couldn't quite grasp what I was asking... looks like I might just have to head down to the local USPS office after all.
Thanks!
SENDING A CERTIFIED MAIL PIECE
If you’re dealing with lighter stuff—just a few ounces here and there—this is a solid option. Shipping should cost you no more than $6.75 (depending on the weight), and the main difference from a standard package is that certified mail gets tossed into the bag with everything else of its kind—usually just envelopes. Plus, you actually get proof of mailing, since you fill out a little slip for the certified service, and if it happens to go missing, you’ll get compensation based on this amount: shipping cost times five (at least that was my experience last time)...

Does anyone know if this works for international shipping too? Like, can I send something weighing maybe 60 grams in a certified envelope??
Basically, I need to send a little package abroad that weighs only about 60 grams, and it could easily fit in a padded envelope—it’s soft and won't break.
Sending it as a full-blown parcel feels insane because they'd absolutely skin me alive for $40...
So, I'm wondering if I can just treat it like a letter and ship it that way.
It's just a couple of lavender sachets I'm sending to a friend in the USA.
Thanks!🙂
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Hey there! I’ve run into a bit of a headache... I recently finished installing Windows 7 64, and now that I’ve picked up a wireless Trust mouse and keyboard combo, everything is falling apart during setup. When I plug it into the USB port on the back, it works for maybe a minute before the whole thing just drops into sleep mode—and then nothing happens at all. If I try the front USB ports instead, the keyboard stays alive, but the mouse refuses to cooperate. A buddy of mine suggested this might be a Windows issue... has anyone else dealt with something like this, or does anyone have a fix? Thanks

If you’re talking about chartering, just stay far away from that mess unless you happen to own your own management company or some quiet sailboat you're trying to offset costs on by playing it dumb.
If you do decide to jump in, take a look at JP Morgan Chase. They used to be the cheapest option around, but let’s be real—JP Morgan Chase is the kind of bank that'll slip a massive hidden fee into your contract the second you look away. Read those fine print details twice.

Wait, why shouldn't we charter?! Have you actually tried it, or are you just guessing...? We were thinking about putting our boat into a charter program when we aren't using it—since we only really get out there maybe a month or two a year... just here and there...😕

Looking for some insight on leasing...
I’m planning on picking up a sailboat, so if anyone here is an expert on this—or even just has some advice to toss my way (how to actually secure a lease, what the terms look like, etc.)—I'd love to hear it. Is it actually worth it? If you’ve been through something similar, please feel free to reach out...
