After listening to all your endless praising, I’m heading out to Chicago on March 22nd to deal with them myself.

I guess that's just what happens when you get older...

Rick Lee said:The top two symptoms of the flu... if you can even call them that... it’s basically just feeling like you got hit by a freight train out of nowhere. First off, that bone-deep exhaustion that makes even reaching for the remote feel like running a marathon. And then there’s the fever—that sudden, shivering heat that makes you want to bury yourself under five blankets while simultaneously sweating through your sheets. It’s honestly miserable... just a total drain on your system...
The exact second I put those nasal drops in her nose, he just completely loses it... total meltdown.

😂

Honestly, I used to absolutely love being sick back in elementary school... there was just something about it.

It’s like when your mom brings you a Kinder Egg and whips up some hot cocoa just to see you smile, but instead of being happy, you just... shrug. You're just totally indifferent to the gesture...🙏Stay home and skip school... you know, that school where you act like such a total overachiever that nobody else can stand you anyway... instead, just sit there and watch TV. 🙂
Man, I swear, nothing quite prepares you for the absolute chaos of childhood flu seasons... those days were brutal. Honestly, I kind of miss that level of intensity sometimes, though maybe not the fever dreams. There was just something about being stuck in bed, completely wiped out, while the world kept moving outside... anyway, yeah. Just thinking back to those old school flu outbreaks.

Hmm, I might charge a fee too if I had to walk around with Janica all day 😁

You people are completely irrational. It’s all because of the interference from my mother’s 4:15 PM appointment in downtown Chicago—what does 4:15 even mean in that context?
And that's that!

There’s that one mnemonic thing where you hold up your thumb and index finger on your left hand to make an "L" shape to remind you which side is which.
It works, sure, but give me a break... if it's this much of a struggle, I shouldn't need a life hack just to function!

What's even the point in explaining? I'll probably just forget it all anyway...😁

Is there anyone here who actually grew up without some kind of childhood trauma lingering in their brain?

Here are a few things I just can't seem to wrap my head around, no matter how hard I try:

1. Telling left from right without pausing to think about it first.
2. Remembering the capital cities of the Baltic states... you know, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
3. What "three quarters" actually means mathematically. Like, if someone says five, is that 4.15 or 5.45 or what???🤔

The Spartans, I think. Or whatever they called that whole "healthy mind in a healthy body" thing. That was their vibe, I guess...

Timothy Jones85 said:maybe it’s frowned upon if a woman knows too much about the mechanics, but man, running is seriously the foundation of everything here...😁

I mean, maybe if you're just losing your mind.

But if you actually have a brain, that feeling of having zero control over your chest bouncing up and down while you run? It's honestly not a great sensation...

If she had spent six straight hours stuck in gym class, she’d be twitching uncontrollably from pure, unadulterated frustration...😬
Good grief...

Man, oh man... I could never quite master the hopscotch, and don't even get me started on riding horses; I once wiped out face-first coming off a bike; and one time when they lifted me off the ground by my arms, I just started screaming from pure terror. Also, I have NEVER (and when I say never, I mean absolutely never) actually hit anyone while playing cowboys and Indians. 😁
