I wouldn't dream of buying a used car. I know absolutely nothing about engines, and let's face it—they constantly need repairs. You never know if you're getting a decent mechanic or someone who'll just bleed you dry. Plus, I’d have to take out a loan again. Sure, it would be a smaller loan with a shorter term, which is a win, but my monthly maintenance costs would skyrocket.

As for public transit, 🙂 I've been riding the bus for ages. I honestly never thought I'd actually buy a car, but I am officially done lugging heavy groceries around on the city bus... and dealing with the constant scheduling headaches whenever I need to pick up anything bulky.

And then there's the monthly utility bill, which comes out to $133. I really hate throwing money away like that, especially considering how subpar the service is all the way to my front door. 😢

I’ve been hunting for a car for months now, but I keep putting it off... Finally, I found something that actually checks all my boxes, both in terms of features and price.

Unless I hit the jackpot, buying a car in cash just isn't happening. My only real options are a loan or leasing. I'm young, I don't have any other debt hanging over me, and the monthly payment would only be about one-fifth of my paycheck. No kids, and my housing situation is already sorted out.

So, should I take out the loan or pass?

The Federal Reserve keeps raising rates, and even though JPMorgan Chase was looking to hike theirs, I noticed on the Ford website that they're offering a fixed-rate loan through JPMorgan Chase at 8%. 🤷

Is this actually a reckless move, considering we’re all being told to tighten our belts while interest rates are hitting the roof?

If their website explicitly states they accept Visa Electron instead of just standard Visa, then you should be good to go.

Don't take what the tellers at JPMorgan Chase say as gospel; I constantly get conflicting stories from them. Just call the main customer service line at JPMorgan Chase to get the facts straight.

As for Southwest Airlines, I had no trouble paying with mine back in July.
