Has suffering become a taboo? in Spirituality ·
John - since 1983:
Some people claim that suffering is the whole point of being alive, and honestly, I’m inclined to agree. I always tend to put that perspective first. Some might call me a fool for thinking that way, but I've never really cared about being part of the crowd; I've always preferred standing with the minority.😉

I actually see things the complete opposite way—to me, life is all about chasing pleasure and those moments of pure ecstasy. If other people want to go out of their way to suffer, that's their business.
Soloing vs. Tradition: Do we really need "gurus"? in Spirituality ·

Informed? Yeah, fair point... I’m so "informed" about people like you that it actually makes me nauseous.
And honestly, if those old stories about heaven and hell were even remotely accurate, I’d take my chances in hell just to avoid being anywhere near your crowd.

See, being mediumistic might be something you're just born with—it isn't inherently dangerous—until you start using it on purpose, or some charlatan starts peddling "spiritual aids" to you. These gurus and their nonsense are basically just roadmaps to ruin. And people call that "self-discovery"... I guess it technically is, since you're consciously opening the gates to magic... waving zodiac cards around and obsessing over a Lilith black moon and all that jazz. For anyone interested in that particular rabbit hole, I’d suggest reading death of a guru by the former Hindu guru Rabindranath Tagore, where he walks through his journey from Hinduism toward Christianity. There’s this one quote in there: I was thirteen when I experienced the famous Shakti pat among gurus—the true sign of my calling. Shakti is synonymous with Kali, Shiva's wife, who's basically a lover of slaughter and a blood drinker. She is the almighty Mother of divine power, of the universe itself. Back then, I was thrilled to find out I was a channel for Kali. A guru's touch, usually just his right hand on a believer's head, can knock someone to the floor, trigger visions of light, "inner enlightenment," or whatever other mystical or psychological trips you want to call them...

Just your run-of-the-mill idiot's book, and there are hundreds of them out there... I was a total piece of work myself until I found Jesus and finally grew a brain.
Toilet paper is actually more valuable...

That Jesus guy is honestly humanity's biggest enemy because he just limits and stifles everything we're capable of.

Lucky for me, I didn't catch that virus.
