And he'll probably miss just one day of the action. Look at Ricciardo—he tested positive on March 11th and was clear by March 16th.

It’s been obvious for ages that he’s just going to be a yes-man. The real question is whether he’ll actually be as useful in that role as Bottas was.
The second he started posting that pathetic, tear-jerking sob story after the last race of the season—even though nobody asked him anything and it wasn't even his business—it became crystal clear. He’s clearly just there to serve his fellow countrymen.
The guy is dense. He probably thinks that through some mix of cheap diplomacy and sucking up to Tot, he can coast his way into a better spot once Hamilton retires in a year or two.

They probably showed up to collect those 250 pounds of explosives we owe them.

On the contrary, I believe the defenders are fueled by a fierce patriotism and national fervor reminiscent of our own veterans from the early 90s—a factor the Russians clearly failed to account for. That is precisely why they have stalled near the major cities. There is also a significant number of civilians who have taken up arms to participate in the defense. If the Russians launch a full-scale assault on Kyiv, it will be a total slaughterhouse. The city has been transformed into a fortress where they will fight for every single street and building. Meanwhile, Mariupol is being crushed daily by whatever means they have at their disposal, yet they cannot break the defenders despite the city being completely surrounded. They will hold out as long as they have ammunition. Just imagine trying to conquer a city like Kyiv. Midget is already counting on Chinese assistance regarding armor and projectiles. They are utterly unprepared for a protracted, bloody war that incurs such massive daily costs.
That’s just how it works. You always fight harder for your own backyard than you ever would for some foreign street.
I mean, does some random Russian soldier actually care about a random street in Kyiv? Not really. Once the fighting starts heading his way, he's either going to surrender or run for it. From what I'm seeing on Reddit and Twitter, that happens all the time. It looks like they've even had to bring in Chechen units to handle the Russians who are trying to retreat.
The official F1 YouTube channel drops 10-minute recaps after every single race. Honestly, I think that’s more than enough if you just want the highlights. If you’re the type who needs to see every tiny little detail, you can always wait for the full race replay.
I absolutely love these stretches right after the rulebook changes. It’s so much fun seeing how wildly different everyone's design philosophy is right now. Eventually, as things settle down, they'll all start looking pretty similar once someone finally nails that winning formula and everyone else just starts copying them.

Pickousti starts getting twitchy if he doesn't mention America for at least two days. He was practically itching to jump in and claim that what happened to us could never happen over there, and that they’d have everything under control in five minutes flat. 🤣
Go ahead and bet on Mercedes for pole position. It’s the classic routine—just wait for the inevitable "Bono my tires are gone" before they pull off three straight podium finishes. I don't trust them for a second, though. Maybe if Sainz had actually complained about the track conditions, they might have listened, but these guys just live and die by the data feeds.
The longer this drags on, the more people are going to pin it directly on Putin. Sure, we know all those companies pulling out right now is mostly just a PR stunt and they'll probably be back eventually, but it doesn't change the reality on the ground. A massive chunk of people have been left without jobs—at least for the time being—their money has lost its value, their credit cards aren't working, and the protests are getting bigger and louder by the day. Their economy is going to be absolutely crushed, if it hasn't hit rock bottom already. He can try to crack down on those little groups of a few hundred people gathering in the squares, but I'd love to see how his police force handles a protest where 10,000 or 20,000 angry Russians show up. They won't be out there fighting for Ukraine; they'll be out there because even the biggest Putin supporters in Russia aren't going to be happy when their pockets are empty.
