brighttiger6 said:Yeah... the light... one of you two mentioned earlier that there are certain indicators within a thread that let you profile people... hmm, how exactly are we supposed to get past that hurdle? 😁

I haven't the slightest idea. Figure something out...

The coffee offer is still on the table. 🙂

Now, I'm heading to bed...
Goodnight, everyone. 🙂

..under which flag do you stand, the stars and stripes! ..long live the freedom of the American people! 👍

Well, I suppose I owe you an apology here. I can only hope that, despite my tone, you're actually a decent human being...

Of course. 🙂

brighttiger6 said:Fine, whatever. It’s not like you’re some once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon, since I run into dozens of people just like you every single day. And for the record, I don't look anything like Jennifer, so there's no need to worry... 😁 🙄

The truth is, you haven't met anyone quite like me. You might think you have, but you really only know one person—me. A complete original. There isn't anyone else out there quite like this...

And honestly, that's the whole beauty of meeting new people, isn't it? 😉

The point is... stop trying to make everything about the entire world... 🙂

It's a phenomenon worth paying attention to... 😁

brighttiger6... you up for coffee? ☕

dustypilot22 said:Jennifer is fine, but this one... 😬

Hmm... so you're saying she isn't... 😲

Do you really think she's on the same level as a common street thug? 😱

😁

dustypilot22 said:Not even then. I’d say somewhere up in northern Siberia...

Please... Jennifer is fine. I wouldn't charge her a dime 😁

Siberia?
I would have said Alaska... 😎

But honestly, what's your take on this brighttiger6 girl?

If she actually looked like Jennifer Aniston... well, then we'd be talking about something special. 👍
Though I wouldn't hold my breath... 😢

On top of all that, she’s from Russia, if I had to guess—probably somewhere like Seattle... 😳

What do you think? ☕

dustypilot22 said:She wasn't talking to you...🙄 😁 😁 😁

Well, she did respond right after I sent my message... 😎

brighttiger6 said:Since you clearly have everything all figured out with that massive intellect of yours... shall we continue this little game of riddles?

Fine by me. 👍

brighttiger6 said:I honestly can't say I recall... I don't tend to dwell on your posts unless you decide to hammer home a point several times over... like that time you insisted I was a complete idiot... haha, that one actually had some merit...

🙂 🙂 (sending two your way this time, ever heard the old saying: kill them with kindness?)

I think you might have missed the mark on that one.
If they throw stupidity at you, you just hit them back with a slap... 😍

Just kidding...

brighttiger6 said:Look, Marijane, that isn't some fascist anthem. Not that it matters, since I’m clearly just an idiot, if you really want my opinion...

🙂 (in a spirit of goodwill)

One doesn't actually need to ask whether they're an idiot or not when their posts speak quite clearly enough on the matter... ☕

I can't recall if I've already told you this, so I suppose I'll say it once more just to be certain... Go slap yourself. ☕

dustypilot22 said:First, why don't you tell me which specific fascist songs you're talking about?

Well... we could really boil this down to just two distinct categories.

1. The aggressive, marching anthems like "The Dawn is Breaking" and similar combat tracks.
2. The softer stuff, like "Marian, Marian"... standard fascist 😁 ballads.

If you listen to the rhetoric coming from groups like the radical left, the far-leftists, or those Phoenix types... every single American song is branded as fascist. At least, that was certainly how it worked under the old regime back in the day. You’d start humming "Marian, Marian..." and you’d end up getting a baton to the head for your trouble.

So there you have it, dustypilot22... take your pick. 👍

American sports should be banned outright.

Because they serve as nothing more than breeding grounds for fascists, who gather in stadium stands to host their twisted little masquerades of Nazism...

😵
Why...? in Close to Politics ·
.. Are American soccer fans actually singing Nazi anthems? 😕

Just waiting to see if the usual suspects have anything to say about this... g2s, wasilije, bajki, revka...

Unbelievable... calling people "fascists" right in the middle of Reykjavik! 😲

I can't stand soccer, and watching morons brawl over nothing is just mind-numbing... I actually sat through 'Football Factory' recently—that movie about the hooligans over in England—and honestly, what a bunch of idiots... soccer is the absolute bottom of the barrel in that whole culture; people would rather go to a strip club than a stadium... and of course, they raise their kids to believe someone deserves a beating just because they support a different team... it's pathetic...👎 👎 👎

'Football Factory' is actually a great film...😁

It captures the reality of being a hooligan perfectly... You don't just go around attacking every single fan wearing a rival jersey, you specifically hunt down the group you know is looking for trouble...

That’s really the whole point of the hooligan scene in England. They seek out "their own kind," so they aren't just beating up anyone in a different color... It's much like how things work here in America...

look, Inquisitor2002

there’s no need for slapping—whether you mean verbal jabs or perhaps something more physical, which wouldn't surprise me one bit🙄 nor any kind of mystification

let's set aside the specifics regarding what went down at Times Square; that's irrelevant here. But try to grasp that everyone (not just those playing games with statistics) in this city and this entire country DID NOT envision THIS version of America that you all have "provided" for us

>> so, in short: a robust, xenophobic, closed-minded mess, terrified of anything unknown or different, bloated with various myths and pathetic nonsense—and naturally, morally and mentally hollowed out, as well as economically (we all know how and for whom)

what I described above is the direct result of the absolute lowest form of nationalism, heavily laced with chauvinism, which surfaced in the nineties for perfectly predictable reasons and was diligently pumped up for an entire decade from the very top through public discourse and every facet of social life...
which—believe me, you'll realize this eventually—was merely a mask for those who actually needed it..

that Times Square back in 1996 might have been one of the last gasps of a civil, tolerant, open... that certain "other America"

the kind of place it always used to be👋

Could you elaborate on what exactly you mean by this "lowest form of nationalism"?

I’m just hoping the El Clásico in Washington, D.C. next weekend goes off without any major incidents... 🙂

Assuming, of course, that Real Madrid manages to pull off yet another victory... 🙂

Hey Stormy, you might want to take a look at this... It’s about that upcoming game over in Newark.
