Thanks so much 😘 I think I’ll settle on grabbing about 30 pounds or so, which should be just about right. Plus a cake. And maybe a little extra just to be safe... 😁
Hey, I know you all have already shared how many treats you ended up going through per person. But, true to form, I’ve got a few more questions 😬 Were those numbers just for the reception area, or were they meant for party favors too? We actually decided against doing favor boxes this time (finally made a decision, haha), so I'm trying to figure out how much dessert we should grab for a hall with about 100 guests. It's easy enough to handle at home, but planning for a venue like this is stressing me out... so please, if anyone has any advice, let me know 🙂

I have a walnut allergy. When I was at a wedding out in the Midwest, I asked what kind of desserts were nut-free (for the two days leading up to it, I had been bugging my husband to try things for me so he could give me half of whatever didn't have walnuts in it 🤣), and people looked at me like I was practically insane 😬 Eventually, they found a few options for me, but even then, they seemed totally shocked, as if they’d never heard of someone having an allergy like that before. 🤣 🤣
Thanks to you both 😘 I’ve made a note of everything, so we’ll just have to see how it all plays out. There’s actually a chance we might get those cookies as a gift, so I need to keep that in mind—it feels a little awkward asking someone how many they want to give us when they're offering them for free. We should probably check in first to see how much she’s planning on bringing, and then we can always pick up some extra if we end up running short 🙂 ...
Thanks, Scott Smith68, I really appreciate the tip about using the container and the scale. That definitely gives me some peace of mind knowing I can get the measurement exactly right, neither more nor less 🙂 ...
Hey, purple, you think this sounds trendy enough? I’m trying to figure out how many desserts we should grab for about 110 people. We won't need to stock up on anything at home since we aren't hosting there—it'll just be for the restaurant setup and for passing around to guests... 😘
I’ve got some cookies arriving any minute now for a little taste test 🙂 A dear friend of my mom's—honestly, I think I just phrased that perfectly 😬—found this local baker and asked her to whip up a bunch of different treats for us to try out 😍

Well, you're always such a ray of sunshine, so this would suit you perfectly. If it were me, though, I’d want something a bit more... edgy. Maybe a cake with some actual attitude 🙂

I am trying to figure out if this is just some quirky creation from my local bakery or if it is an actual thing 😕 It tastes absolutely incredible, and I am considering using something similar for a multi-tiered wedding cake 👍 To me, the flavor profile is remarkably similar to a Kinder Maxi King 🙂
I definitely know it! My aunt used to make it for birthday parties back in the day, though it's been ages since I last had a slice, so the memory isn't quite as sharp as it once was... 😳
I wasn't actually talking about psychoanalysis—I try my best to avoid thinking about that stuff altogether 🙂 Just kidding, obviously 🙂 What I meant was more along the lines of some shorter-term things...
