Beyond just getting the shot, I need to lie down for about half an hour afterward—I have to ride it out because I'm terrified (no, I don't even know why) and there's a chance I might pass out later. 😳
If you're getting vaccinated by your own doctor and they don't stock vaccines for young, healthy people—call them first; if they don't have it, then yeah, you have to buy it. But if you go through public health services, you don't have to.
Alright, there you go. You’ve got two options: either go begging at some local clinics hoping someone actually feels sorry for you and decides to help, or just sit there and wait in line. Pick one! (Assuming you aren't allergic to eggs, obviously)😍 ☕
Jessica Flores83 said:I want to get my seasonal flu shot here in Washington, D.C. I don't have a primary care doctor here. Do I actually need one to get vaccinated? Where can I just go and get it done, etc.?
You can always head over to the municipal public health clinic—it’s on Mirogojska. $18, deal with a little wait in line, and you're set.
Since I see people starting to pile on Vincek with the criticism, I’ll step in here for a second to defend him... I had their cake once. It was layered—four tiers: Black Forest, vanilla parfait, chocolate parfait, and a fruit parfait on top... and let me tell you, it was incredible. Not a single crumb was left. There was nothing fancy about it.😉

So basically, they bumped up their prices in just half a year... yeah, that's how it goes...☕

It’s honestly dirt cheap. We ordered ours from a vendor in Washington, D.C.... for 150 invitations and thank-you notes, we paid just over $130. I know it was around that much. $1.00 Per unit. All credit where it's due.👍 They even have their own website. Check this out: http://www.invitations.com/

Apparently, they throw in a complimentary cake as part of the package, so I’m curious about what they actually look like—and honestly, I have my doubts that anyone there will even bother asking what kind of flavor I prefer or what ingredients I’m looking for...😁 because I wouldn't want just some random...🙂
I had my wedding at the Globe. They provide a cake for 120 guests, which comes from Vincent's (and let me tell you, their stuff is delicious). The process is simple: you go down to Vincent's, pick out the specific cake shape you want, jot down the item code, and then just give that number to the coordinator at the Globe who handles all the arrangements. If you want something specific or a larger cake, they offered to cover the cost of $333, and we just paid the difference... it ends up being cheaper for them than if you were to order it separately on your own.👍

Look, just go with a parfait style—chocolate, vanilla, or honestly, I highly recommend the fruit parfait... ours was delicious.
Anthony Chavez6 said:I actually went to Vincennes to finalize a cake order myself, and honestly, I was so impressed by how professional they are... They show you everything, offer plenty of suggestions, and are incredibly easy to talk to. They even give you honest advice on what’s actually worth the money instead of just trying to upsell you. Highly recommended...
We had a great experience with the ladies over at Vincennes too... genuinely kind, approachable, and willing to lend a hand... It's true, though—they really push the option that makes the most sense for the customer...👍 And don't even get me started on the taste of that fruit parfait...😛
We served about 8 ounces per person, which was just right. The plates looked full, and honestly, people kept going back because those desserts were incredible. We packed up some treats to take home, putting 9 ounces in each little box. For a crowd of 250, we ordered 110 pounds total: 55 pounds for the venue, 66 pounds for the 120 gift boxes, 22 pounds for my family, and 22 pounds for his. A few of us snuck some extra at the office, and just like that, they were gone.😁 Some might look at 220 pounds and think it's overkill, but let me tell you—not a single bite went to waste.
If I had a magic formula for this, I’d be a billionaire by now... No magic wands here, sorry... It comes down to discipline and effort—calories in versus calories out. 😉It's pure math... The problem is, life isn't that simple.
Look, if he actually saw a psychiatrist and they prescribed him Haldol, they didn't just pull that out of thin air... And they certainly wouldn't have handed over a diagnosis without good reason... Unfortunately... But, if he was given medication based solely on what a psychiatrist heard from his parents, then we have a serious problem here... His behavior, his age, and the simple fact that an antipsychotic is working—even though I secretly condemn giving meds behind someone's back—all say a lot... He needs to get a full evaluation. He has to know what he's dealing with so he can treat it properly; he has to accept it before he can actually live his life... You can't force him, but you also can't just secretly administer drugs without specialist supervision...
If I were catering for 80 people based on standard guidelines, I’d grab about 35 pounds of cookies. And if there’s anything left over? It definitely won't go to waste...😍

Ladies, just leave your comments, and by all means, feel free to drop some bakery recommendations. I personally liked that little cupcake shop, and there’s also a lady over on the West Side who does great work.
Mary, here’s my cake disaster: I ordered through a restaurant, and the event coordinator and I just weren't on the same page. Instead of the buttercream cake I actually wanted, I ended up with whipped cream...😍 That said, it looked great. The frosting was smooth, they kept it perfectly chilled in the walk-in, and honestly? It tasted amazing. Just like you said—out of the four tiers, three were parfait style: chocolate, vanilla, and fruit, with the Black Forest sitting right at the bottom... So, even though I usually avoid whipped cream like the plague, it actually turned out fine. Maybe it didn't have that grand, structured look a buttercream cake gives you, but everything doesn't need to be perfect down to the millimeter...😛
My cake design has changed yet again. It’s still the same Vincennes recipe, just different. Instead of round, it’ll be square. Instead of three layers, it’s four. The flavors remain identical, and instead of that heavy decoration with white and burgundy roses... I don't know. I honestly couldn't deal with the headache anymore. Listening to everyone else's opinions—"use fondant," "don't use fondant," "is this enough for this many people?"—it was too much. So, whatever happens, happens.

Believe me, "delicious" is an understatement...🙂 I've tried IT ALL!
