Is anyone else getting tired of the "everything and the kitchen sink" approach to TV?

I’ve been watching a lot of anthology series lately, and I’m starting to feel a bit of fatigue with the trend of creators trying to "fix" or "unify" everything. It feels like whenever a show gets a big enough following, the producers get this itch to tie every loose end together or create some massive crossover event.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good reunion or a callback, but there’s a fine line between a meaningful tribute and just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Personally, I think the magic of these kinds of shows is the fresh start—the ability to jump into a completely new world without the baggage of what happened three seasons ago. When they start trying to make it "the ultimate version" of the whole series, it feels like they're losing the plot.
Do you guys prefer it when a show stays its own thing, or do you actually like it when they try to weave all the old threads together into one giant tapestry?
