Root canal extraction! in Dentistry & Oral Hygiene ·
Hey everyone!
First off, my apologies to the admins if this thread already exists or if I'm posting in the wrong section—my situation is a bit specific, so I figured I’d just start a new topic.

So, last night, a tooth started acting up (a pretty steady, nagging pain).
I was out in the city today when the pain suddenly ramped up significantly. Since I happened to be right near a dentist's office, I decided to just pop in.
I politely explained the situation to the receptionist and asked if I needed an appointment, but the dentist actually saw me immediately—super helpful!
He took a look at what was going on and determined there was some inflammation. He prescribed some antibiotics and scheduled me for a follow-up in two weeks.
Basically, they told me the roots need to be removed—and since I have a pretty low pain tolerance, I have to ask: does that hurt badly? Also, will I be able to eat and talk normally afterward?
But once I got home, things went south. The pain became absolutely unbearable—just this dull, throbbing ache (honestly, it made me want to jump off a balcony). It comes in waves—about 3 to 5 minutes of intense pain, then 5 minutes of relief, then it starts all over again. I took my first dose of antibiotics and some Tylenol 500 for the pain. But even five hours later, the pain hasn't let up (I know the antibiotic takes about 12 hours to kick in, but I'm talking about the Tylenol). One more thing: since I'm currently unemployed, am I required to pay for health insurance? I mean, it isn't exactly cheap $3.25 but why pay for it if I don't need it? I've been registered with the unemployment office ever since I finished high school two years ago.
Music school recommendations? in Students & Teens ·
Megan Long35 said:Does anyone here have any first-hand experience with this music school? And what about this one?
If you do, I'd love to hear how they actually are. 😬

Look—I’ll tell you, and everyone else reading this, exactly how it is!
Regarding the Zlatko Balokovica Music School—it is top-tier, truly excellent—period.
Take this man, for instance; he founded the school and teaches Accordion.

(Though his student count is low—does that mean the workload is heavy?)
As for me, I graduated from the Juilliard School, specializing in Accordion!
I started a bit late—around 6th grade in Elementary School.
But I can tell you this: that school is fantastic because the professors are absolute experts.
I attended the satellite campus in the city. Honestly, the instructors are wonderful people first, and then as teachers—they really know how to break things down properly.
My Accordion instructor was Mr. Davor Horvat, and I can honestly say nothing but praise and superlatives for him as both a teacher and a human being!
The man explains everything beautifully—calmly, clearly—there are no issues there; you just have to put in the practice!
As for the solfeggio professor, I have nothing but high marks to give.
And check out these results: with his choir, he wins gold and silver at almost every competition (including the choral Olympiad in China)! He is highly respected by faculty at all music schools.
Now, regarding enrollment age!
It is best to enroll around the second grade of Elementary School, once the child has mastered reading and writing.
So, once again, my best wishes to everyone!
Those are my experiences and my thoughts!

Can I protect my current account? (I'm talking about my checking account)

I stopped by Chase today, and the teller told me straight up that I can't have a protected account—unless I'm actually employed.

The bank isn't allowed to release any funds without a court confirmation that your debts have been settled. However, if the money landing in your account qualifies as income, you generally have a legal right to access a portion of those funds. But, if someone just did a manual deposit or a wire transfer into the account, you might find yourself stuck with zero access to it.😢
Best,

I'm heading out to work as an observer for these upcoming elections—it’s just some minor role—but does that count as "income"? If so, does that mean I can actually rely on that money coming through?

My apologies if this thread isn't quite the right spot for this—hopefully I'm in the right place!
Here's the situation: I have my checking and savings accounts set up over at JPMorgan Chase, but because of an outstanding debt with AT&T, they've gone ahead and frozen everything. Now, I’m expecting a payment to hit my main account—specifically the checking one—and it absolutely has to go there. Is there any way around this? Any chance I can protect the funds or shield the account so they don't just snatch the money the second it lands?
