Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Does anyone have a recommendation for a nose surgeon—someone you’d actually trust to get the job done right without making a complete mess of things?
Honestly, you guys really need to get off those drugs😁

driftingwolf45 said:YES—it really can be the weed.
Especially if you started using before you turned 24.

If there’s anxiety or a predisposition to it in your family, weed can trigger or speed up the onset. Basically, they've found that neural networking—meaning brain development—keeps going until about age 24. The cannabis used by this newer generation contains stuff that affects those connections, which can trigger all sorts of neuroses or psychosis if you already have a leaning toward them.

Studies in the UK showed that 95 percent of young people under 24 hospitalized with psychotic or borderline disorders were regular users. Once they stop, the symptoms usually start to fade. I guess weed itself isn't always the main danger, but it's risky when you start early.

Besides triggering issues in people with a family history of mental illness, it causes neuroses and can also bring old traumas or fears to the surface.

If you suspect it's the weed, maybe just listen to your gut and stop using it.

Otherwise, you aren't crazy. Crazy people don't realize they're crazy. It's probably just an anxiety disorder that you can fix pretty quickly. But maybe start by quitting the weed.

See? That is exactly what I was trying to get at.😁

I think that might be what's happening, because I smoked once a long time ago and ended up feeling like I was stuck in a dream for three years straight, dealing with constant panic attacks and this overwhelming sense of dread. It doesn't happen to everyone, but for some people, it seems like it triggers a chemical reaction in the brain that lingers, and honestly, you just have to be careful with it.🤷
Is life actually easier if you're good-looking? in Psychology ·

So, I was wondering if being an attractive person—regardless of gender—actually makes things easier, like landing a job or hitting certain life goals and all that.

It's true, but honestly, everything really depends on how you carry yourself.
I know from experience, 🙄
whenever I'm in a bad mood and being totally unapproachable, it doesn't matter if I look three times better than Angelina Jolie; if I don't feel like engaging, I'm not going to process things well regardless of what anyone tells me.
When I head out into the world with this mindset that everyone is terrible and just wants to get under my skin, and I end up brushing people off even when they have good intentions, that's obviously not working out for me.
On the flip side, if I'm way too bubbly and overly friendly, I tend to attract all sorts of weird stuff.
But, looking at the big picture, it can definitely be an advantage because people tend to be much kinder to you, and you get treated pretty well most of the time.
The only thing I've realized is that there are plenty of people who will go out of their way to help you, only to expect something in return later on. 😁 😁 😁
Raymond Bennett27 said:I ended up here because Magic Blue suggested it. 😉 My main issue is that I’m just totally lost when it comes to pregnancy symptoms. I don't really know if you can feel anything significant just two weeks out. Right now, my stomach feels a little bloated, though it feels pretty much the same way it does about a week before my period starts. Even though we didn't actually have full intercourse—like I mentioned before, it was just him finishing near the opening—I'm still terrified that I might be pregnant. So, I'm reaching out to see if anyone can help me figure this out if possible! Thanks so much in advance! 😘

Why don't you just take a test?
You can grab one of those cheap ones at Walgreens or CVS for just a few bucks, and they work just fine.
The sooner you get an answer, the more time you'll have to process everything and decide what your next steps should be.
I remember waiting around aimlessly for three weeks myself, which left me with only seven days to make a huge decision about whether to continue the pregnancy or not. It turned out to be a blighted ovum, but my point is that finding out early through a test isn't something to fear; it's just about getting the truth so you aren't stuck in limbo.
