I’ll get straight to the point.
Today marks day 40 of my cycle, which means I am LATE. Over the last six months, my cycle length has typically fluctuated between 26 and 36 days.
About ten days ago, I experienced all my usual PMS symptoms—lower abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and so on—but my period still hasn't arrived. 👎
My partner and I have been consistently using protection during intercourse, supplemented by pulling out before he finishes.
Now, given that my period is later than usual, and considering what I've read online about how PMS symptoms can mimic early pregnancy signs, I'm starting to panic about the possibility of being pregnant (which is absolutely not what I want right now).
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?
THANKS
Look, I once had symptoms that felt exactly like my period was coming, only to find out I was actually pregnant, and for me, it wasn't a happy ending. 😛
I am not certain what kind of protection you were utilizing. If you were using condoms or birth control pills, there is likely no reason for concern. However, pulling out... well, it isn't foolproof. It might be nothing at all, especially since anxiety itself can delay a cycle, but you should eliminate the doubt and just buy a test. Even those cheap ones from CVS or Walgreens for $25 or $12 work perfectly fine, believe me. My own test showed a positive result that I was dreading to see.
In any case, good luck. 👋
