Usually, my cycle is incredibly predictable, always hitting right at the 28-day mark around 2:00 PM, but this month? It's late. It’s only been a few days, but... 😕 I can't shake this gut feeling that I might actually be pregnant.
Apparently, some women still get their period during the first month of pregnancy—is that actually a thing? If anyone here has gone through something similar, I'd really appreciate the insight: 🙏

Your period can definitely be late just from stress or being anxious; that plays a huge role. If you aren't sure where you stand, honestly, just grab a pregnancy test so you don't have to wonder. That said, you might want to wait a little longer because it might be too early for a test to give you a clear answer yet. Even an OBGYN won't be able to tell you much this early; a home test will likely show results before they can see anything. I learned that the hard way when I took a test before my own appointment. I didn't even mention I thought I was pregnant; I just went in because my period was late. My doctor suspected I might be pregnant but figured the delay could just be due to stress, since nothing showed up on the ultrasound yet.
I was taking Dabu-something and Normabel—one was specifically to help with implantation so I wouldn't risk a miscarriage, and the other was to help keep things calm, though you can't really take those unless you're experiencing bleeding. With both of my kids, I started bleeding right away; with my first, I actually ended up in the hospital because I had to be on strict bed rest. If I hadn't been on those medications, I honestly think I could have lost both pregnancies.
That feeling of falling in your sleep? in Psychology ·
It happens to me quite a bit when I’m absolutely exhausted. As soon as my head hits the pillow, I drift off almost instantly and start dreaming, but then—out of nowhere—I’ll have this sudden, violent jerk that leaves me feeling totally startled. The weird part is, I can never actually remember what I was dreaming about right before it happened. My husband tells me that I do this all the time; apparently, I even start talking in my sleep, though he can never make heads or tails of what I'm saying.
