Laura Booth6, I am seriously so sorry you had such a rough experience.
I actually had my surgery with Dr. Ostojić. During our consultation, I told him straight up that I was terrified—like, really scared—and he immediately told me he didn't want to put me through that stress since things can get messy if you have a panic attack on the table. He was actually the one who suggested general anesthesia. Honestly? It was seamless. I laid down on the table, got an injection in my arm, and was out in seconds. I woke up already in my room and everything went smooth. No nausea, no vomiting, nothing. Anyway, I truly hope the worst is behind you and that your results turn out exactly how you wanted them to.🙂
Jerry Torres74, I'm happy for you... keep telling me it'll be my turn soon 😍it's not terrifying or anything, but I am definitely starting to notice 🙄
Chloe Watson35 said:So, who did you go to for your surgery to get it looking like that?😕

I’ve been reading through the forums quite a bit—honestly, I've seen plenty of posts from women saying they ran into issues with Smith.🤷
It’s been 3 months since my surgery and I still have this lump on the left side of my nose. It feels just like some kind of subcutaneous pimple... and honestly, it's driving me crazy..😠
He smoothed out the bump and lifted my nose just a bit—didn't touch the tip, though.
Olivia Morris25 said:If you don't mind sharing, which doctor was it exactly?

And if you have any other tips about them...?

Dr. Smith, like I mentioned in my previous post..

Anything else useful about them? For me, everything was fine—it's just that when I went back for the follow-up, I got this vibe that she just wanted me out of the office as fast as possible. I actually heard a similar story from a friend who had surgery with Dr. Tony... maybe we're just being overly sensitive or something..🤷
Donna White6 said:Honestly, I’m pretty terrified in general—if I had to choose, I’d definitely go with someone local. How long is the wait for an appointment? And how many days were you actually there? I’m still saving up the cash right now, hoping to maybe get surgery this winter. The hardest part is just picking a surgeon... I’d prefer a hospital setting, but I don't know many people around here who have gone that route, so I'm not sure what the end result would even look like. Truth is, my nose is a disaster right now. 🤣Let us know how things are going for you—how did you finally decide on your surgeon?🙂

I had my consultations on April 6th and was already operated on by April 17th. The doctor actually called me because some girl backed out of her breast augmentation, so I jumped in on that slot..
How did I pick him? Well, once I started browsing the forums, Smith was always the first option that popped up. Even after seeing some negative comments and bad experiences, I ended up pulling the trigger with him anyway... and honestly, I can't say I regret it. It's been about two and a half months since the surgery. No lumps or anything weird, but man, I was swollen for a long time—just under two months. Not sure if that depends on how intense the procedure is or just skin type, but that was my experience. Anyway, I feel like my old self again.
Olivia Morris25 said:Nose jobs are becoming way more common lately. Does that mean they aren't as risky anymore? I'm planning on getting mine done this fall or winter, so I'm wondering just how safe we're talking here.

Every surgery carries some level of risk—period. When I first sat down for my consultation, the doctor was straight with me: every procedure comes with its own set of risks.
That said, these have basically become routine procedures nowadays, and that’s how they’re handled. As for whether that’s a good thing or not—honestly, I think it’s up to the patient to weigh that out for themselves.
Donna White6 said:Can I choose my surgeon or am I just assigned whoever they want? Are you happy with your new nose? Does the price depend on how intense the surgery is, or is it a flat rate? Sorry for being annoying—I’m seriously looking into getting a rhinoplasty but haven't picked a doctor yet.

I'm pretty sure you can pick... I told the doc I was terrified, so he suggested general anesthesia right away.
Happy? Yeah, but honestly, I think he could've done a better job.. He took out the bump and lifted the tip, but made it look kind of flat.. It's missing that slight dip you see on those perfect noses.🤷

I think the price stays the same regardless of how complex the procedure is.. You should probably double-check directly with the clinic though..

Ask whatever you need.. I know every little bit of info helps—I actually pulled the trigger on my own surgery because of what people shared on forums like this.😁
Donna White6 said:Does anyone have a lead on what Ostojić, Bastaić, or Tončić charge for cosmetic work? They're my top picks—just trying to get a ballpark figure before I commit.

I went to Ostojić—paid $11,500 for general anesthesia. If you go with local, it’s $9,500.
Can I hit up a tanning salon two months after nose surgery?
swiftheron48 said:lolllll yeah I saw that—but there is zero way that was five days later. NO WAY. I’m betting they filmed it after the fact, it's just impossible. Like, how are you not breathing normally through your nose? 😢 As soon as they pulled my swabs out, I could breathe fine again 🙂 My tip is still swollen too 😢gross!!!

I can breathe, but not totally. Feels like it's still blocked up.
My tip is super swollen too... definitely..
did one of your stitches fall out?
Alright, figured I’d give a quick update now that it’s been a month since my surgery..

So far, so good. No lumps or anything weird popping up on my end yet.. breathing through my nose is still a bit hit-or-miss—sometimes it feels totally blocked, like it's still partially shut🙂, and none of the stitches have come loose either...

My skin is an absolute grease trap right now, though. Getting constant breakouts around my nose—I'm cleaning it constantly, but it doesn't seem to do much. Guess it just takes time for everything to level out..

Btw, did you guys catch the red carpet this past Sunday? That pageant queen who had her nose done..
The news reported they removed her molds and packing after just five days.. she looked flawless—zero bruising, no swelling, not even a hint of blood.. honestly, I'm floored..🙄
It actually ticked me off a little because my nose is still pretty swollen, and don't even get me started on how I looked just five days out..
neondriver18 said:I've got an idea, ladies 🙂
can you guys post some before and after pics? It would be great to actually see the results—and maybe
compare how different surgeons turn out. Obviously, there's no need to post something just one day after surgery 😁..more like,
after a month or so. I know some of you here had yours done ages ago, so if you're up for sharing, I'd be super
grateful 🙂....and just a close-up of the nose is fine, doesn't have to be a full profile shot...

Cool idea...
it's just that most people don't really have a good profile shot from before they went under the knife...or am I wrong? 😍
Bryan Gomez27 said:Did the doctor tell you beforehand that they’d be cutting muscle, or did you just find out after the surgery was already done?

They told me right away—my nose was drooping quite a bit, so that's why the muscle work was necessary.
swiftheron48 said:Man, my skin is a total disaster... I'm constantly slathering on moisturizer because it's incredibly dry everywhere, especially where the bruising is. It's awful. 😢 Honestly, I've got it worse—I'm still swollen. Today is day 6, so hopefully things turn around soon. 🙂 Can you even laugh normally yet? I'm thinking about actually stepping foot outside this Monday when I head in for my follow-up. 🙂 Until then, I'm basically hiding out in the dark. 🙂

I can't even laugh properly right now, which is the worst part—I look like I have no teeth at all. 🤣
Everything feels so tight. My muscle right above my lip feels totally sliced—how about you?
Hey guys, how’s everyone doing? It’s been way too quiet in here lately..
Anyway, I’m feeling a whole lot better today. Actually put on some foundation for the first time since my surgery 😍
The swelling has gone down a bit, though you can still see it.
I picked up some paraffin oil and honestly, it’s working wonders—it totally melted away those scabs I still had lingering.
I’ve got a bachelorette party coming up this Friday, so fingers crossed things look even better by then.
Ugh, but my skin is a total disaster right now. It’s so incredibly dry, I’m seriously at a loss for what to do...
Bryan Gomez27 said:hey girls, I'm wondering if anyone here had surgery where the doctor didn't even touch the tip of their nose? Like, basically nothing changed at the tip after the procedure... I've asked this before but nobody ever replied...

So, look—I had my surgery and they didn't mess with my tip or my bridge at all. But since they lifted the whole structure up, the tip naturally went up too—so for about a week, I totally looked like a cartoon pig. If you're asking about whether it drops back down right when the splint comes off, then yeah, mine was already looking more normal by then.
Ashley Carter95 said:it’s not something others can see—just me. Honestly, I'm just realizing now how swollen my nose actually was. No one else even noticed.. don't stress out or start panicking over nothing.. the nose takes about 6 months to really shape up, and breathing usually doesn't feel 100% until the 9-month mark on average.

Hey, are you maybe a smoker? How does that affect things?
I haven't tried lighting up a cigarette yet, but man, the cravings are hitting hard...
One more thing—I can feel the right side of my nose, but not the left. Is that normal?
Ashley Carter95 said:Yeah, they whip those up right at the pharmacy—usually doesn't even come in a box, but it only takes a few minutes. I'm thinking it's $1.75.

Thanks a ton. Honestly, I think this is exactly what I need.
