So, here I am—just got my nasal packing removed today and I’m still dealing with some nosebleeds. It's pretty constant and honestly, I'm feeling pretty wiped out. I've got my mold removal scheduled for this Friday, so we'll see how that goes. My doctor mentioned I could start using Aquamaris nasal spray to help things along, so I was wondering if anyone here has tried that? Any idea how many days post-op I should wait before starting?
I’m heading in for surgery tomorrow and honestly, I'm freaking out... They’re doing it under general anesthesia because I told them how terrified I am. Has anyone else had surgery under general, or is everyone usually just on local-plus?
Ashley Morgan73 said:Thanks again, Laura Castillo7—really hoping everything goes smoothly🙂 I sent the exact same questions to Dr. Ostojic, so if anyone’s wondering about the answers: Ma'am, you can get back out in the sun as soon as the bruising clears up (if there's any), which usually takes about 7-14 days. And yes, it's totally possible to fix the bump without touching the tip of the nose—though just keep in mind the tip will stay the way it is. As for pricing, the cost for the aesthetic correction is always the same: $9 $167 for local anesthesia, or $11 $167 if we go with general anesthesia. Best regards Dr. Duje Ostojic
I actually had my consultation with Ostojic too. I told him I was pretty nervous, and he suggested general anesthesia is probably the better move for me because of my pulse—otherwise, he can't perform the surgery. Looks like I'll most likely be heading in for the procedure around the 20th.
Laura Castillo7 said:I had nose surgery—what specifically are you looking to know? It's doing fine so far, we'll just have to see how things settle later.
I know, I've read through everything—honestly, lost count of how many times. The thing is, I just want to make sure everything is cool. Nobody’s posted in forever, and I’ve got that interview with Ostojic this coming Monday.
Where's everyone at who went under the knife for a nose job? How’s it going—how are you all holding up? Now that some time has passed, are you actually happy with the new look?
Laura Castillo7 said:Come on, please—tell me why that muscle keeps twitching in my mouth and why my nasal supports look smaller from the outside. My whole procedure was done through the nose, and I still don't get why nobody else does it that way. thanks
I'll ask 😉 Hopefully I won't miss anything. I'm gonna write all the questions down on a little note 😁
Alex Campbell54 said:The nose gets reshaped—or rather, fixed—if it was already broken and healed crooked. But if it wasn't broken and there are just irregularities from whatever cause, those humps get simply shaved down with a scalpel (just look up Dr. Glusac's surgery on YouTube)
And that muscle sitting right above the upper lip? It doesn't get cut; they just detach it from the nose so it stops "pulling" the nose downward—otherwise, you end up looking like a potato whenever you smile.🤣
Wait, I don't know if I missed it or if you just didn't mention it, but who did your nose job?
So, I finally sent that email to Dr. Ostojic and I'm heading in for a consultation in a week. I mentioned earlier that I wanted to get input from both Toncic and Kincl, but honestly—I've changed my mind. At least for now. I heard a rumor that Toncic doesn't really listen to patients and just does whatever he wants anyway, which is a huge red flag for me. Look, Ostojic is definitely going to cut that muscle, but we'll see how it goes. Anyone else have some experiences to share? Please. My mom and my boyfriend are totally freaking out. Even though I've been bringing up this surgery for a while, they thought I was just kidding around.
I've been mulling over nose surgery for a while now—honestly, I'm a regular reader here—but I just haven't been able to pull the trigger and actually book a consultation. The second issue is the sheer noise online; with all the endless praise and constant complaints, picking a surgeon feels impossible. Every doctor has their pros and cons—that’s just how it works—but it's definitely making my decision harder. Anyway, enough stalling. I'm sending out emails tomorrow to finally get some appointments on the books. I've decided to check out Toncic, Ostojic, and Kincl first, then I'll see who I actually vibe with.
Oh, by the way—which one is the specialist for that muscle between the nose and the lip?
My period is three days late—but honestly, I wouldn’t even be surprised since I had this tiny bit of spotting about five days ago. Just like, five drops, and then nothing. I’m actually terrified to go out and buy a test because I can't handle another disappointment—we’ve been trying so hard to conceive. A few days after we hooked up, my stomach was cramping so badly I thought I was going to lose it. On top of all that, everyone who sees me keeps asking if I'm pregnant. It’s not funny at all, though like I said, I'm just scared of getting a negative result again. My breasts feel a little heavy/tight, but they don't really ache or anything.

Personally, I wouldn't get anything out of that. Sure, I had a tiny bump, but my nose always looked too big from the side—like, way too high. I actually wanted to shrink the whole thing, and you can only do that with a real surgery.
I also have a large profile, and honestly, I've been thinking about surgery for ages. My mom is supportive even though she's a bit nervous, and I'm definitely not indifferent to it either. I'd deal with all the pain just to be happy with how I look afterward.
