I read right on the pregnancy test instructions that cysts can cause a false positive.

On the third day of being late, I took a test—it was negative. Then again on Wednesday, still negative, but then on Friday, it came back positive! We used Blue Cross tests every time in the evening, since the instructions say you don't necessarily have to wait until the morning. Is there any actual possibility of getting a positive result when there isn't a pregnancy? I mean, the results changed completely within just two days... Thank you!
It’s possible if you’re definitely pregnant but your hCG levels were just too low to trigger a result initially. Once they climbed high enough, the test finally caught it.🙂... congratulations

I’m done testing for now. I’ll wait until my period actually shows up, or if I’m still waiting a week after that, then I’m heading straight to the doctor. 😉
Nothing hurts, really. No symptoms at all. Just a little crampy feeling like my period is coming, but that only started yesterday. 😉
God, I actually completely forgot I was even due! Then it hit me—like two weeks ago, I specifically went into CVS to grab some Kotex, and I realized right then that I was already late. I ended up grabbing a DUO pack while I was there. 😂
Hahaha, that was me. Went to CVS for Kotex and realized I was way overdue... now I have no idea what to do with this stash.

Today, I noticed some yellowish discharge, and throughout the day, it feels as if my body temperature is spiking out of nowhere—it’s almost like a sudden flush hitting my face. On top of that, I've been dealing with these constant, nagging pains in my lower abdomen. I actually took a pregnancy test yesterday, but it came back negative as clear as day, though perhaps it was simply too early for it to register? What do you all think...?
I had those exact same pains right before my period started. It messed me up for three full days. I was 100% certain I was about to get my period... but I was wrong. Just wait a few more days.
Just wanted to give you all an update. My period is two days late, so I took a test today and it came back positive. I am so incredibly happy, I can hardly put it into words.😁🙂🙂
Look, I’ve heard of cases where a woman was twelve days late and all three tests came back negative, only for the fourth one to finally show a positive. But regardless, you need to go see a doctor. I'm pulling for you and hoping everything turns out alright.
Congrats on the upvote. Unfortunately, the witch woke me up at the crack of dawn this morning. I’m feeling pretty low about it, but hopefully things will look up next month...
So, the witch hasn't shown up yet either. I'm hoping she stays away. I'm running a test tomorrow, so I'll check back in then... where is everyone else? As far as I know, there were four of us waiting for the 16th.
jadepilot65 said:So, I’m heading out tomorrow to grab a pregnancy test since everything is going to be closed this Sunday, and I really want to take it first thing Monday morning. Does anyone have any actual advice on which brand I should pick up? Which one is actually reliable if I'm looking at day 28 of my cycle by Monday—assuming, of course, that my period hasn't already shown up by then. 😢
It all seems pretty subjective to me. Talk to the pharmacist. I wouldn't even bother testing until the 17th. I'm hoping some girls check in on the 16th to share what happened.
This is all looking great. We're counting down the days until the 16th, and I’m crossing my fingers for a massive wave of positive results. Yippee! Honestly, though, I have this nagging feeling that my period is about to hit, and it's making me incredibly anxious. I've been moping around the house like a lazy cat all day. I’m feeling every single symptom, but I can't tell if it's just standard PMS or something else.
jadepilot65 said:Well, count me in because I'm new here too! Honestly, I'm right there with you—just hoping for the best! I've got my fingers crossed for a positive result. Are you feeling any symptoms yet?
Well, I'm crossing my fingers for that big plus sign right along with you. All I've got so far is an insane appetite, breasts that ache until I'm exhausted, and today, this weird metallic taste in my mouth. I've never felt anything like this before, but we'll see. I'm just hoping for a positive result and taking it from there. What about you—are you experiencing any specific symptoms?
jadepilot65 said:Looks like I’m the last one left here—clearly, there aren't many of us just sitting around waiting for the clock to run out before we finally bite the bullet and buy a test. 🙂 I was actually tempted to go grab one of those early detection tests—you know, the ones that claim they can spot a plus or minus sooner than others—but I held myself back. I'm sticking to the date, March 16th, unless I somehow find out earlier, because honestly? I still have no clue if this is actual news or if it's just my PMS acting up again. I am beyond frustrated right now—just completely on edge. My husband has been trying to play peacemaker, keeping me calm and making sure I don't have to lift a finger, just "to be safe," as he puts it. He’s basically handling everything—doing the dishes, running the laundry... today, I pretty much just managed to whip up some soup. 🤣 Writing this all out is the only way I can keep from losing my mind. Anyway, the symptoms haven't budged. The only thing is my breasts—they are incredibly sore and, oh my god, HUGE. It feels like an eternity until the 16th.
Hey, I'm new here. I'm also holding out until the 16th. Hoping my period doesn't decide to show up. My cycles are usually pretty regular, every 28 days....
My cycle hits every 28 days like clockwork. It’s always consistent. So now I’m sitting here genuinely confused about how this is considered "irregular" just because it showed up five days late. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of logic before?
Maria Grant42 said:Post the full blood panel. These are just fractions; interpreting them without the rest of the data is pointless. Also, explain why you had the blood drawn.
I got tested because my hair is thinning out badly. Everything else looks fine—only those two markers are outside the normal range...
