Douglas Taylor2 said:By the way, ladies, for all the future moms out there, I was wondering what age group you all fall into? 🙂

I happen to be 79 years old.
amberorca2 said:Ugh, I totally get it, honey. Like, she seriously has no idea and it doesn't work like that for everyone. She was just standing here a few minutes ago trying to convince me that I’m just too thin and *that's* why my cycle is late. Like, give me a break, seriously. 😵

I took a test on Sunday afternoon after drinking a ton of water, and it looked positive, but if it was, it was basically the most faint line in existence. 🙂
I don't even trust these tests at all, whether they show a positive or not. 🤷

That is what we call a faint positive, which means you are pregnant!!! Congratulations, mama-to-be!!!
Douglas Taylor2 said:Then I’ll have this one hell of an all-knowing organism... someone pretty reliable who can just tell me ahead of time if I'm pregnant or not. If I'm not... 😉 No joke though, how much can you actually prepare in advance? I guess I'm just worried about those draining physical tolls that come with everything. Maybe there's a high probability that 🙂

For some people, increased discharge is a common symptom when they are pregnant.

That would be the most amazing Christmas gift ever 😍😍😍

Did you take a test?
Douglas Taylor2 said:Yeah, I guess autosuggestion plays the biggest role in all of this... though it feels a bit strange that I hit 72, since my absolute limit used to be around 68 or 69... I haven't actually eaten enough to reach that weight, literally, so I'm not quite sure where it came from! That's why I really need to figure out how to start eating healthy as soon as possible 😁

Your body is simply priming itself for pregnancy, and if you aren't pregnant yet, you certainly will be soon!
amberorca2 said:Honestly, I don't think people are doing the tests wrong; I think they just plain fail to detect it. Like, take that GraviGnost mini one versus the bigger one—whatever the hell that's called—one woman on some forum (maybe even here?) tested while she was definitely pregnant and it didn't pick it up even once! Clearblue gave her a faint line, but the Intim Plus showed a solid plus sign 😉

which just goes to show again that tests are 1% unreliable sometimes.

Ugh, I have to tell you about something that happened the other day—this coworker of mine kept trying to convince me I wasn't pregnant. She was like, "There's no way, your breasts aren't even tender," and I'm just sitting there thinking, WTF?? 😕 Like, what does that even have to do with anything? 🤷 If 70% of pregnancies are high-risk or difficult, it doesn't mean I'll have symptoms too. My god, I just stayed quiet after she said it. It didn't even bother me, it was actually kind of hilarious. How can you claim to know something if you aren't even remotely sure?

As for me, my breasts weren't sore or swollen during my first pregnancy, nor are they now. In fact, they tend to hurt more right before my period arrives. Regarding the topic of breast changes, you should tell that "brilliant" colleague of yours that she hasn't the slightest clue.
Douglas Taylor2 said:Ugh, now that I'm thinking about it, there's a chance that M 30.03 was actually a dud. I've definitely gained some weight and have this little tummy sticking out that probably wouldn't be there if I hadn't been pregnant just a month ago... at least, that's my guess. :/
Jeffrey Morris4, huge congratulations! 😁 How far along are you now?

Before my first pregnancy, I actually put on quite a bit of weight—everyone was convinced I was pregnant before I even knew it myself. But once the morning sickness and vomiting really kicked in, everything changed. I suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, which ended up causing me to lose about 15 pounds.
During my first pregnancy, the very first test I took flashed positive immediately; yet here I am now, having taken two separate tests that both came back negative. However, I know instinctively that I am pregnant—after all, one knows their own body better than anyone else—so I would suggest not putting too much faith in those little plastic sticks.
My due date is December 28th
rapidrider3 said:So, when are you actually supposed to get your period? And regardless, take the test first thing in the morning.

One more thing... I read that some people get negative results. I don't know how they're doing it, but I always pour the urine into a small cup first, then dip the stick or strip in as deep as it goes for about thirty seconds, and it always gives a clear reading.

I usually just use the GraviGnost mini test. It's cheap, around $12 and it works fine.

I followed that exact same routine—collecting it in a cup, dipping the strip, counting to ten, and so on—strictly following every instruction provided, yet I still ended up with two negative tests even though I was, in fact, pregnant.

Congrats, girl! 😘

How late were you when they gave you the news? 😉

My due date is April 30th—so exactly a week from now if things don't happen sooner, obviously 😉 and I'm wondering if you can actually see anything on the scan yet. My last period was March 5th.

In your case, you should even be able to detect a heartbeat. My last day of menstruation was March 17th, though I have quite a short cycle—it occurs every 21 days and lasts for seven. I am currently four weeks pregnant. Based on my specific cycle, I add two weeks to the end of my last period, whereas if you have a standard cycle, you simply add one week. My physician advised me that if I return next week, we will be able to observe the fetal heartbeat.
Drew Gonzalez11 said:Which brand of test were you even using??

I was using some Romed diagnostic kits, specifically testing the first void of the morning.
I visited my OB-GYN this past Tuesday, and she officially confirmed that I am pregnant. While we haven't been able to detect a heartbeat just yet, the little one is definitely in there.
Allow me to share my own experience regarding this matter. I have taken two separate tests: the first following a twelve-day delay in my cycle, and the second after sixteen days. Both yielded negative results, despite my absolute certainty that I am pregnant. In
